What film did you watch last night?

Nefarious. If you ignore the right wing Christian propaganda it’s an enjoyable enough film with a solid central performance.

Chicken Run 2

Thought it was pretty poor to be honest. Mainly because it just wasn't that funny compared to the first one. I can count on one hand how many times it made me laugh.

The story just wasn't as engaging as the first one either.

4/10

Leave the World Behind. There seems to be a lot of hate for this film on these forums but I thought it was a good film.

A Haunting in Venice

3/10

Pretty trash telling of a story based on the the original (Hallowe'en Party) that was mediocre anyway.

Violent Night

Actually really enjoyed this. Yes it’s nonsense. Yes it’s cheesy. Yes it’s over the top. But by God I found it a nice fun way to pass an evening. Nice solid 6.5/7 out of 10.

Ferrari

I went in with low expectations but it ended up being more watchable than I thought - mostly down to the aesthetics and decent acting. I usually avoid biopics but fortunately this was understated.

It's just a pity that Michael Mann didn't have a better project as I would love another classic from him. There was only so much he could do with the Enzo Ferrari story.

Blazing Saddles - one of my favourites as a lad, can pretty much quote the whole thing. Watched it with my sons who were not impressed. I thought that they might be shocked or amused, they were just bored. 4/5

Saltburn - 8/10

Thought it was a great watch. Great performances and story although could have done without the last 15mins. It look beautiful too.
