12 Angry Men.
Was very impressed at how pure and focussed it was - concentrating just on the issue of doubts in the story. Interesting as well that there was no concern about whether the kid did it, or someone else, or what - just about whether there were doubts about the case.
It is a very good film. This type of film would probably be too daring to do these days and be too much of a gamble! No gimmicks, no effects, christ not even a scene change through out the whole film! - The whole film is based in the jury room and purely focussed on the characters. The actors are very very good and often go on for many minutes straight to camera with no jump scenes.
I don't think it is perfect though.. I don't want to spoil the film for anyone that hasn't seen it but I was surprised by one of the characters change of mind and the way it comes about. The main character that sparks the doubt also seems a bit of an odd ball to me and during the film I questioned where he was coming from or if he had some kind of motive behind what he does through out the film.
8/10 from me
