What film did you watch last night?

Tower Heist.

5/10

Eddie Murphy kind of saves it as he goes back to his comedy roots a bit. The rest was utter garbage and full of MASSIVE holes all over the place though you don't watch these films for the story.

Just finished watching this and I agree that vinnie's accent is horrible, although he was only in a few scenes so it didn't ruin the film for me. I'd give it a 8/10

Last night I watched Men in Black I and II, probably not the greatest films but I thought they were fantastic. The first one is definitely better than the sequel but that's normally the case with most films. The third film comes out in may I think.

Brought back good memories of watching it as a kid :)

Just been to see The Woman In Black.

Very good film, really enjoyed it. Really tense and jumpy. Even my other half jumped out of his skin more than once.

8.5/10.

Couldn't help but think a quick Expecto Patronum would have had everything sorted in no time!

The Descendants - 9/10.

Great film. I heard people completely slating it (contrary to the reviews), saying it was boring and maybe that's why I enjoyed it, going in with a fairly balanced expectation.
I thought the story was compelling, both the humourous and sad moments well placed, the acting was good and the soundtrack (although just seemingly one dude with his guitar) was outstanding. Hell maybe I was just in the mood for that kind of film.

Saw this last night myself, I didn't think it was too bad but you do have to suspend reality to enjoy it, as you said some things are just a bit stupid. Definitely enjoyed Eddie Murphy acting like his younger self.

Inception - 7/10 - Certainly good, but I thought it got a bit carried away, especially as it barrels headfirst towards the overblown finale. I don't suppose the IMDB's top 250 really means all that much, but No. 13 on the list seems a bit much.

Goodnight and Good Luck - 7/10 - Worthy and atmospheric. Yet, even with a fairly short running time it still felt a bit padded.

Went to see The Woman In Black last night. Being a huge fan of the 1989 version (remember being utterly horrified watching it on Xmas eve on ITV when I was 12). Have since bought it on dvd and have seen the stage show twice (after a couple of years think about ready for a third time). Needless to say I was excited about this but anxious that it would pale compared to the original film. For me, the WIB was all about the brooding atmosphere and the lingering long shots of the woman (like at the funeral in the 89 version and also when Kipps sees her outside the house). I worried the new one would rely on CGI and jumpy horror.

Well, I am happy to report that the new version is great :). OK, not as good as the original imo but certainly retained the feel of dread and had a good few jumps. I had wondered how they would approach the bed scene at the end and again while not as scary as the original it was still new underwear time.
A slightly Hollywoodised end scene too but that was fine.

9/10 for me.

Just watched Lady and the Tramp on Bluray...a classic family film for a Sunday afternoon.
They have really made an excellent job with the soundtrack, never thought an old film like this would sound so good and the picture quality is just superb...worth buying.8.5/10.

Westworld has a charm about it despite it's low budget production value roots.

Last nights offering of Futureworld does not however.

It'd been years, forgot just what a miss on the original it was... it's like they kept the poor bits of the original, ditching the charm and wonder..

Weird.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
