The idea of deep water. The idea of being alone in the middle of an ocean, above miles of water.

That, or being in the water next to a huge ship, shallow or deep, probably worse if it was to be deep water.

Definitely nuclear war. I read "Children of the Dust" when I was a kid and it freaked me out. I absolutely would not want to survive a nuclear war - I would want to be right under the bomb as it went off please. The whole subject is disturbing on so many levels.

Also, the thought of death being absolutely final. I refuse to believe it.
