I've had no clutch issues when I was making progress to the MOT.

You need to drive it like muffin stole it.![]()
Time for a brake upgrade tbh.![]()
Brake upgrades (ie replacement calipers and the like) are for losers, and most of the time make things worse in the grand scheme of things. That said, I can't see how getting replacement calipers will be much better, as you could end up with the same issue in 5 minutes. I'd get the pistons and rebuild yours properly.
I've decided!
Spoke to local motor factors...£85 a piece for them, but that's a case of I can pick them up at 4pm, not wait 4 days!
12 month guarantee and I know the guys and parts from them are very good having dealt with them for years with other cars. Going to hurt my wallet but it has to be done to be honest.![]()
Not bad at all - you should refurb your calipers in your own time - get the calipers shot blasted etc. and then chuck them on eBay as refurbished or simply keep them as spares, that way you at least know how![]()
If its £55 a calliper then im gunna guess its a referb unit which means he had to hand in old ones to get surcharge back (thats where the £85 cost is)

Poor MGB![]()
Puzzles me a bit too - I always found the brakes excellent on my humble old 318i.....I'm not sure either, but the iS doesn't really need an upgrade, as standard it has the same brakes as the 325i and the 328i which stop them well and they have more power. I'm happy to stick with these for now, only upgrades I'd do would be pads to fast road ones if I really felt the need...but I don't.![]()
