What have you done to your car today?

What issues are you getting? Symptoms etc?

Well my boost leak became apparent again. Turns out it was the screws which go into the MAP sensor housing on the hardpipe kit. I reused the old ones as the kit didn't supply new ones.

Found some in the garage which worked a treat. Also realised my hardpipe was resting against the sump. Cable ties and coat hanger later it's sorted.

Lowish MPG. Rich running, Lumpy idle.
P0101 DTC every 10 miles.

Im pretty sure every pipe is secure. The MAF sensor is already new last week... so im at a loss really. No odd spikes showing on logs so cant see wires being an issue.

Have you checked to see if any pipe has a split? Rich running lumpy idle makes me think there is a split somewhere.

Are you running the standard airbox?

If not is it possible you could get hold of one and try that.

Last call would be exchange maf for a working one just to rule out faulty maf.

Could be disrupted airflow over the MAF. Check that you've still got any built-in airflow modifiers (honeycomb grilles and the like) where they should be, and that if you are running a custom air intake that it's not seated too close to the MAF (MAF inserted too far down the intake pipe). Possibly also worth replacing the air filter itself, even if you are running stock, as it could simply be lack of airflow due to a partially blocked filter.

Intake kits have to be mapped on a lot of cars as well as it screws the MAF scaling

Stock air box. Brand new OEM filter last week to try and fix it.
Only non stock part on this intake is the inlet to turbo pipe itself. It's an uprated silicon one. But that only removes a restriction that is the old squished pipe.

I don't have the original one to fit anyway.
I can't see any rips or splits in the pipe work.

The MAF sensor is basically new. But same error presented by ECU.

There is no honeycomb in stock box before the MAF. Mabey there should be?

Unlucky I'm guessing one of those sizes that is like £200 a corner lol

£245, if I wait over the weekend there are cheaper options :)

In most cases, all tyre repair kits are completely useless.

Yep 100% agree, at least there is more boot space now :p This is one of the downsides of owning a 'super car' they aren't very practical when it comes to spare wheels - first world problem I guess :)

To be fair even my lowly 320D has no space for a spare wheel, not even a space saver. The recess in the boot is pretty much useless. Bit annoying when pretty much every journey I do is a long one so it means I have to lob my full size spare in the boot when I don't need the space. Irritating.

Last time I drove to Germany I had it on the back seats with plastic sheeting around it which seemed to interest the border control guys. Won't make that mistake again.

I told them it was my spare wheel and that there was no space in the boot for it because it was full of shopping but it only occurred to me after they let me go that they would've suspected that all sorts of dodgy things could be hidden inside it. After asking me questions about where I got the wheel/tyre from and them having a poke around the boot they were fine with me, luckily. Next time I'll just leave the wheel in the boot and chuck the shopping on the back seats instead :)

It's been mapped with a Cobb accessport.
The owner then sold it.
The dealer who bought it removed the accessport.
They want cash for it.

It's currently married to my car. And with it in can flash it's stock map back on to try and get rid of this stupid error.

Will end up paying for it I suppose. Means I can get a custom tune in the future :)

so they sell you a broken car, you attempt to fix it yourself with your own money.. now they want to sell things that will hopefully make your broken car work ?

you're getting done mate.

Washed car last night and have spent morning giving it a coat of polish - wheel black and cleaned windows. - All this in cramped garage as it's peeing down here.

Rain has stopped so took a pic

Sounds like it. But I missed the bit where it was not my dealer who has the accessport ;(
