What have you done to your car today?

Is it though. It is only a second and a half. When you take the advantage of RWD vs FWD it would be pretty close. Easily made up on track by a better driver.
This is where we get scope creep in these discussions.

We started off about straight line stuff and now we are talking about a track. Then comments inline with 'keeping up' with turn into 'not pulling away by much'. There is 15mph difference at quarter mile, drive away from someone stood still at 15mph

Thats the problem a DC5 even up 40bhp and down 100kg is going to struggle with keeping with an M3 in a straight line.

My MX5 on the other hand compared to an E93 M3 is identical in a straight line at least into the low triple digit speeds

Edit: Maybe struggle was the wrong word, but its still going to a big chunk down when you compared bhp/tonne

So changed all the sparks and replaced Ignition coil 5 after my machine telling me misfire in cyl 5 on my Z4, Made the car worse with the car horrendously misfiring from any sort of acceleration, Another fault code come up, Misfire in Cyl 2, replaced that yesterday and that silky smoothness you expect from a straight 6 is back.

For now I love the car until the next problem xDDDDD

Though the DISA is in need of having that Aluminium upgrade kit as its a bit rattley so that's due next payday along with a bit of suspension work, little bit of knocking noise over uneven road/bumps.

Then payday after that its a trip to Bristol for a chap to sort my roof motor and relocate it to the boot, Loan will also be paid off then which means more money for me to spend sorting the car out, happy days.

Garage or private in Bristol?

So, can't really beleive I don't have a decent picture of my old satnav instal. Anyway, over the last couple days (some issues with SD card compatibility, and finding the right updates and stuff), I finally finished my install of my RNS 510 into my Edition 30. Went from this:

To this:

Now running the latest firmware and Western Europe maps. Have some music pre-loaded on HDD, as well as a fresh SD card for other tracks.

Overall reasonably happy with it. It has vastly freshened up the feel of the interior. Which is nice. I have a Fiscon BT unit in there too, but it isn't working properly at the moment, mostly because I dont have the MFD in the ED30, or the MFSW. Yet. But they will come. It does still need an update. Or, I might ditch it and put the Parrot back in, as much as I actually dislike that device.

When I picked up my new car the first road I drove on had just been 'resurfaced' and had all the gravel out, I drove at 5mph down that road and annoyed everyone. not nearly as bad as you lot though :(
A few days after getting my 340i I drove out to Ponderosa cafe in North Wales. Resurfaced a road like you've mentioned, cruise control set at 15mph. Sorry to everyone behind me but I literally don't care :p

My pads were still fine (7mm left), but my discs were beyond shot with about 12 cracks in each of the front ones (on the back faces, which was odd as the front faces were crack free) at 65000 miles...meanwhile the V70 we have went to 124k before needing new discs or pads.

New thermostat and FL22 coolant arrived this morning.
I don't think they need doing tbh but only cost £50 with euro discount and I have seen 102c on torque pro whilst in traffic.
Research shows that unless it hits 104/105 then it's fine. But when a car smells warm I don't like it.
