What have you done to your car today?

So much grip on the roads now. For the first time this year I can finally get all the power of the 5.5L V8 down!

I've noticed this too (sadly sans V8), can actually put the foot down without too much thought for avoiding McDonald's car park style traction loss.

It's getting service/mot today, then I'll try and fit in a proper spring clean before it gets the bumper sprayed next week.

Also tempted to have the wheels sorted as the previous owner kerbed the fronts, but a bit concerned about how few refurbs seem to last more than a year or so

They wouldn't, because it's air tight :D
Actually nope.
Air molecules do leak through the rubber. That's why nitrogen filling is a thing.

Any air that gets past may possibly have enough in it for the dogs to sense. Also unless every CM of that tyre has been bleach cleaned after filling the dog will sense it anyway.

I think I have kerbed most of mine. Was just about to have them done, decided against it and then kerbed one again going through narrow road works. A nightmare with diamond cut alloys.

Go

Got a pic?

I'll get a pic in the evening but it's like a big square connector. It goes inside the Piller from the door, on the side which is In the car side it should have 2 connectors going into it, so when you take the connector out you can undo them but for the life of me I can't seem to get the original connector out. The mk1 had a twist type connector which was simple.

If you Google MK2 focus front door harness you can see it.

But particles from the powder will be to large to get through.

You'd have to vacuum pack the substance in a different room, wash yourself and the outside of the packing down completely, then place it inside the tyre in another location. Then you won't get any on the outside :D

Noticed yesterday that my A/C was no where near as strong as it was the last time I used it to cool the car months back (it’s on constantly but set to 22c) I’ve just had it regassed and it’s now uncomfortably cold on max - I thought something was wrong as the max button didn’t do anything during the winter and assumed the final stage resistor was failing, the guy who’s just regassed the car said it’s actually fine - it only will give maximum cooling above a certain outside temperature, yesterday and today it’s been fine because it’s relatively warm.
He also said it was unusual for an old BMW like mine to have fully working climate control because of the FSR I was pleased to hear this because apparently on the e38 to change it you have to dismantle the dashboard - it’s much easier on models like the e46.....

Had the exact same with my 850. Sold with AC not working, suspected evaporator - which is a dash out job and £200 part. Turned out it was just needing a regas. Such a relieving moment, isnt it?! :D

I changed my upper & lower grilles to satin black today, could never fathom why Ford did them grey when all the other plastics are black, fairly subtle but I prefer the black.

I think it needs some lovely new plates to set it off, with the modern narrower font!

Looks smart. And has made me realise that I actually don't see very many MK3 Mondeo's these days!

I prefer the simplistic look, these plates are pretty new.

There are still a fair few MK3's around, unfortunately most are now battered wrecks or worth more in parts than on the road, hence why I broke my old Titanium X spec one rather than sold it even though it was mint.

I've wanted an ST220 for some time so am aiming to get another 6 years out of it :)

They are black. Both my 220’s have had black grills. Yours shouldn’t have the chrome bits either they must have been added by previous owner.
Here’s mine
