What have you done to your car today?

If that's a continuous crack all the way around I'd be a little worried and be changing them out sooner rather than later! What manufacturer were they out of interest?

Yes they go all the way around, in both outer grooves, on both tyres.

They are Nexen N9000's. So not the best, but a decent middle-of-the-road tyre by all accounts.

Mmm... I think I will do.

If we're sure it should pass like it though, I'll put it in for the test before ordering the tyres, just in case it fails on something unforeseen. :p

Took the FD2 out for a drive for the first time in a while and discovered that the electric windows weren't working. Turns out I hadn't connected the cable after changing the front speakers. Back in the garage now. No pics sadly as the car is filthy.

Came up behind a V60 rather fast at some lights (was turning off into a filter lane) and it started flashing its hazards quickly. Isn’t modern technology amazing. Rear Collision Warning system apparently.

Have to say forward and rear collision warning systems are one of the few modern innovations I really miss on my truck - in stuff like poor visibility or fog they really can be life saving. With some stuff like keyless blah and over use of touchscreens instead of physical controls, etc. I can't wait to get back to my truck LOL (it does have a decent amount of modern stuff like automatic headlights, automatic wipers and so on).

Got my 55 back :) - having borrowed my wife’s mini it reminds me of the power and huge braking difference.

Two replaced abs sensors, one seized exhaust flap released and the other stuck in the open position (which just makes it louder, so that works for me).

Have you checked the fuses? About as simple as it gets.

I wish it had been that simple.

What I did this week.... finally finished my restomod of a land rover defender. love it.

Thanks, it looked like this before. 200tdi hard top. Obviously its changed a lot lol. The build has taken 6 years on and off. Its basically a complete nut and bolt rebuild, its better than new literally. The engine is a 4.6 rover v8 out of a p38 RR which has been remanufactured and upgraded to 'stage 3', this means heads, plenum, cam etc. The drivetrain is all refurb'd and reconditioned and is running 3 limited slip differentials. Suspension is again fully modd'ed with some fancy australian suspension components from OME and has dislocating axles and 11" of droop. Its a bit of a beast... for a landie.

Do you have a build log thread or something? :)

If not, I'm sure loads of people would be interested in seeing one!
