Ah yes, I know Clive. Thanks.Guy called Clive Walpole. Highly regarded in the Evo world for transmission work. Nice chap too.
Only two more days driving the mini. I probably shouldn’t admit that I’ve actually enjoyed it somewhat. Very easy to drive, comfy and good visibility. I miss the power though and it does remind me how strong the engine/brakes are on mine, I think I miss the brakes most of all. It does remind me why I sold my AMG with all the performance packs years ago once my commute got longer, but I couldn’t trade in the TTRS.

I'd keep the MK7 another year tbh. Lots of room for car prices to drop.Sorted insurance (expires next weekend) but also contemplated changing it, again.
I think I'm leaning more towards a Mk 8 Fiesta ST than a 140i, going from a Mk7 ST.
I miss having a sunroof and the panoramic on the Mk8's are way bigger than the 140i. Running costs play on my mind because I used to have a 340i. One thing I love about my Mk 7 is how cheap tyres, brakes, etc. are. but I love that 40i engine. Plus the Mk 8's being only 2 years or so old ish, the newest 140i's were made in 2019.
I really can't decide; keeping the Mk7 for another year is an option.

Get the AP racing brake fluid cap. You lose the level sensor but it stops throwing fluid around. Finally got the Alfa fixed, door works correct and all back together with no damage to door card and gave it a wash:
Doing this door latch is one worse jobs on a car I’ve done, absolute nightmare but nee latch is in along with some other new bits which took damage in smashing the latch up.
Caterham has also been throwing brake fluid around, a little over filled so added for sweat bands to catch any wild brake fluid:
Also added a phone mount too.
Also spotted all the tyres only had 13psi in them so increased to 18psi for good measure.
