Replaced the standard Lucas sealed beam lights with some Wipac halogen lights, the difference is night and day.

Fitted the chrome 'horseshoe' trim, whoever invented the clips that hold the thing on clearly wanted to lash out at the world.

And test fitted a Notek Nearlite spotlight that I was given.

Also fitted a new anti rattle plunger and spring in the shifter turret, which has, as the name implies, stopped the gearstick from rattling like a *******. :p

Got through the MOT. Just a note off the record that my front tyre has worn slightly unevenly. Annoying since it’ll finish off the front set sooner than planned, but at least no bigger jobs need doing until the next service.
 
Having had the car less than 48 hours, the mods began. :)

I don't like the PDK shifter on some Porsches, looks a bit garish to me. Replaced with the GT3 GT4RS shifter.

There's like a trim over the engine which in most Caymans is silver. Again, I prefer the blacked look so this panel is also from a GT4RS.

Pulling parts of the trim off is surprisingly easy. Not sure if that's a good thing lol.

Put all the bits back into the boot now that everything is fully dry and I verified the drainage channels are indeed clear :cool:

the rechargeable silica packs are for peace of mind lol.

It's amazing how much diff or road noise that top boot liner tray blocks out from entering the cabin, been driving with it out as it was drying. It's super thick and several KG in weight so no wonder I guess.

Also, last night a police car swiped my wing mirror and scuffed it:

Emptied the Ovlov, signed up an account on Autotrader and going to get it ready for sale :(

Going to miss the 3L 6cyl turbo wafter but EV is calling me.

Where else do people sell cars these days? Don’t say FB Marketfarce.
