What have you done to your car today?

Got to love fresh paint :)

*facepalm*

What's the going rate for wheel refurbs these days? Body shop quoted 60 plus vat per wheel - that's a tyre on, wheel sanded back, refurb rather than the full on acid bath/shot blasted refurb that some places do... Seems expensive

I paid £210 for tyres removed, full refurb, new tyres fitted, new valves and balanced.

Today I twice snuck up slowly on a new menace in our local villages and then floored it - this new menace is the "community speed watch". A brigade of geriatric do-gooders in hi-vis jackets that threaten to have an MI if you get close to the speed limit.

I look forward to their strongly worded letters of discontent.

Watch out for these elite road policing officers near you:

Why does that MG have a quad exhuast?

It's not mine, but it's a full bespoke stainless steel system. That plus a few other mods has it at 179bhp on the rollers. Given that the standard 160 does 60 in 6.9, it's pretty quick. It's also had a complete subframe out rear end rebuild and a custom half leather interior. Not my cup of tea but he likes it and it's probably one of the best looked after TFs out there (it has 22k miles on it). Theres no chavvy mods there so you can put away the pitchfork
