What have you done to your car today?

Topped up washer fluid...

Drove to my office in London, Savoy Place from Waltham St Lawrence. Pleasantly surprised at a round trip figure of 40mpg... Considering the amount of stop start and a few boot fulls here and there in London.
 
Have put over 3000 miles on it now since I started to notice the whine in 4th and 5th, it doesn't seem to have got any worse, so I'm wondering if it could be something else, but I can't think why it would only be in those two gears if it is anything other than the gearbox...

Need to take the front wheels off and have a look at my brakes at some point, I think they might be sticking on very slightly, and they squeak occasionally until I give them a quick dab.
 
Picked up my car with its freshly refurbished wheels today. Very happy with the job and they look a lot better, they look great in black :)

Might attack the locking wheel nuts with a wire wheel or something at some point.
 
I topped up or changed every fluid in the car ready for my trackday on Saturday.

I also chopped off the back boxes and replaced them with a straight through pipe and an identical to stock tail-pipe so it still looks unchanged but sounds like a very angry god, especially during the 45 sec "cold start" cycle where you have to shout to be heard :D

It's much louder than my older C5 RS6 which I did the same mod to, much louder, so I'm glad I kept the backboxes re-fitable :eek:

An R35 GTR drove past me last weekend, it must have had some sort of straight through exhaust because he didn't floor it (heavy-ish traffic on the motorway) but it sounded very, very angry :D
 
Sound clip, acceleration video, cold start video without revs, the works, all in HD, no less will do, get on it right away! :D
 
Well I blame Acme the git, just went for a spirited drive with my Drift HD filming and nearly hit two badgers, had a burk drive at me on the opposite side of the road (not overtaking, just randomly on the wrong side) and I popped my intake manifold pipe off again.

So the vid may be next week while I calm down :D
