What have you done to your car today?

Spent 2 hours doing a wash/clay/wash/wax on the TT today. It looks no different to when I started, bloody silver cars.... Paint is considerably less rough now though and hopefully wont look so dirty every time it gets wet.

I'm aware polish is needed to make it look better, but it was filthy before I started :p Collinite 476S, very durable, decent hydrophobic qualities and easy to work with, plus the tub is so big I've only used half of it in the 2 years I've had it....

Do love a bit of 476S. Mines currently wearing it but I'm stripping it this weekend in favour of Fusso :p

Fitted the wind deflectors after realizing I was using the wrong clips (i.e. rears on fronts).
Ordered a new head unit and accessories.
Routed the dashcam cable properly.
Cleaned it.

Had my first prang the other day sadly, she has a bit of an arse wound (paint scrape) thankfully I have a spray booth so I'll drop the bumper off and wet dry back the area and give it a nice fresh spray and lacquer in.

Installed some Rota Blitz on my MX-5 to replace the Team Dynamics alloys the car came with when I bought it. Wasn't sure how it would turn out but they look good.

I'm guessing the 3rd from the left is from the cylinder where you were having the misfire...

Otherwise they look quite clean to me... but then I suppose it depends on if they're 3 weeks or 3 years old ;)

I replaced all the coils so I don't actually know which one fixed it!

Thanks for confirming that they look ok, I thought they did too. Not sure of the age of them so thought I'd change them for piece of mind. They're supposed to be changed every oil change but you never know if they were.

Got my turbo off today, confirmed my suspicions on lack of boost until 4.5k!

Ordered a new turbine shaft, upgraded billet compressor wheel and a rebuild kit including ceramic bearings. All coming from the US so hopefully within a couple of weeks, then I can get it back together and down to santa pod at the end of the month!

It's the GT28RS.

I'd love to say I know what's caused it. But I don't :( I know it's running rich on full boost (AFR is dropping to about 10), but that shouldn't cause that as far as I know, only lean running would make that happen. But that's being sorted in November with live mapping.

Other than that I don't know. Someone mentioned to me EGT temps but I can't see it, it's a 3" turbo back system with very free flowing silencers, plus rich running will keep EGT's down, and no one else has had an issue!

Only thing may be is, it's an old turbo, I bought it used. It could have had a hard life, been run lean in the past and weakened it?

In short, I don't know :p
