What have you done to your car today?

Gave my Type-R a quick going over with Sonax Shine to tie it over, and my new RRE its first clean since I took delivery two weeks ago.

Planning on hardwiring a dashcam next.[/QUOTE]

Thats a strange looking Type-R :confused::p

Bloody thing decided to run (again) like a 1.0litre this morning, thought sod it and took it to have its codes read yet again, no faults stored, ran beautifully on the way home again....

Getting rather narked with this!

Just need the bit that'll guarantee you employment - the +E entitlement. ;)

Yeah that's next on the list for definite, don't think I'm going to even look for cat C work because I know I'll get comfy and never do the +E...will stick at the current work for now and hopefully get my next licence before Christmas :)

Gave it a clean on the inside, tried and failed to sort out the cubby hole cover which keeps falling open so I took it off again, then went for a drive. :)

Managed to keep it in lift (someone help me out with the terminology here? "On high cam"?) between first and second a couple of times which was nice. There is definitely a knack to it... :p

Fitted this today in my 2007 vw jetta, it's a rcd510 replacing the rcd300.

Much better sound, sd card and usb also, thinking about picking up a blutooth module for it as the android units I looked at all have such nasty UI although I would like the built in google maps sat nav.

Gave it a full detail with a machine polisher as it's (in theory) being sold on Tuesday. If all goes to plan, I'll be getting only £4000, so only £300 less than I paid for my new one.

Are you not going to swap the plates on the two Jags? M6 BUX is much nicer!

No, the buyer wants the plate. In fact, that was how I met him - he saw it parked up and asked if he could buy it. I might sell the plate on the new one if I can get £200ish for it and go back to the standard one as it doesn't mean anything to me.

Found another scuff/scratch mark, looks like where someone has opened their door on it again. Hopefully wash/polish it tomorrow and do my best to remove it.

It's not usually worth selling those generic type plates tbh - you rely on someone specifically looking for the combo of letters etc during the time you're selling - then you'll get peanuts for it and still have to pay some money for the transfer and new plates etc

Chucked it on a dyno... :D
The dyno was pretty brutal - most were making either just about what was expected, or less.

The ZS180 (the one I saved from being scrapped!) made 193.4BHP, up from 177BHP out of the factory. You can feel it, too. :)

Incredible fun for peanuts.
It's a 2.5 V6, mods are a lovely big open cone (need to enclose it, really!), a straight through exhaust (decat done too) and it's had the fast-action throttle body from the ZT190 fitted by the last chap who owned it. Makes me wonder if the previous owner fitted the 'hotter' ZT190 exhaust cams, too.

Washed and polished and waxed the XT vacuumed inside, dressed leather, etc, took photos ready to put up for sale.

Recieved second hand alarm fob for the Sti from Ebay, programmed it to the car (took 3 goes) well chuffed.

There's something about these, even the xt/xte that really appeals - it's only a recent thing too, never used to fancy them at all

Had a blow on the flexi on my GT-Four front pipe. Good excuse to buy a Fensport 3" to replace it. Cut the original pipe in two as I didn't really fancy lowering the sub frame to get the exhaust out. Turbo threshold is near enough down to 3k RPM now which is great!
