What have you done to your car today?

Bagged a cheap side mount intercooler from a Skyline GTST for the Alto.... somewhat larger than the top mount existing, hah!

Also sorted some vacuum filters, a new remote locking key and finally located the last major rattle and sorted that (boot latch).

Made the bonnet red again. It took ages, my arms hurt, and it needs another couple of goes yet... :o

Then theres the rest of the car... She'll get there eventually. :D

Plugged in my new AUKEY QuickCharger which I received totally free from mrk....cheers m8 :)

Just waiting on a 12v female socket to be delivered that I'm going to wire into the fuse box under the steering wheel. Then I can have a USB-C cable mounted discreetly near to where I mount the phone on the right hand air vent, rather than draping the cable across from the centre console.

Also fitted new Trico wiper blades. Had Denso Hybrid blades before, but they weren't actually flat blades...just conventional wipers with a plastic cowl. The Trico blades look similar, but are actually the more modern beam blade design underneath.

Oh and I sprayed about 43 gallons of engine degreaser on it so I can see where it has been leaking from for the past 7 years. :p

After getting silly quotes for changing rear disk/pads on the Mrs Mini Countryman (£470 for main dealer, and £340 from an indy) I decided to do it myself.. Brembo disks/pads + sensor + some small tools I needed, £122

Mind you it helps I could use one of the bays in work, it's just a large space, but it's heated and has coffee on tap.. almost enjoyable bar having to take all my tools with me and washing the floor afterwards!

Then I got home and replaced both wing mirror glasses on the M3, the drivers side had started oxidising where the vertical line is, and the passenger heated mirror didn't work.. On taking it out, the heater element was corroded and the new glass cured that, so I have 2 heated mirrors, useful this time of year!

Similar story but with fronts on our Cooper S countryman. Did the fronts today, and pattern odd I always end up filing the ends of the excess paint to get them in the guides nicely..... not so fun when it comes to pad sensors!

Ended up filing the housing down to fit the pad then replaced the clip. I'm happy how secure it is but clearly the backing plate isn't large enough to cover it like OEM.

Bought an R8 then built it.

Was fairly straight forward but I still managed to mess up the tiny virtual dashboard sticker. I gave up trying to fit the 1mm gearstick with my fat fingers though. :D
