What have you done to your car today?

Doesn't really need wider arches, will already comfortably fit a 225/15 radial if I want to take RYWB a little more seriously

But but but

Dropped it into a local detailer who does great work for a full wheels off, 3 x day detail. Costing me £900 all in but I hope to have a car with no swirl marks at the end of it and paint and underside like glass :)
You paying someone £900 to clean your polo or R8 ?

Really hoping your not paying someone £900 to clean a Polo....

Ordered new shocks(dampers) for the truck, fronts arrive today, rears next Wed... Kind of worried about fitting them, not done anything quite this intensive before.

Arch and sill cutout, all the rust cleaned back to bare metal couple of small repair pieces made up for the inners then painted in Weld Thru Zinc ready for the new rear quarter panel tomorrow

What you've already done requires skill and balls!

I didn't do the cutting either though to be fair. I know I'd make a mess so left it to someone that knows what they are doing, I'm just lucky enough that doesn't mean going to a specialist. Saving myself a good £1000 or so by not paying someone to do it, and keeping another MX5 on the road a bit longer

Did a few jobs after the Spa trip. Mostly doing a proper job of temporary repairs I had to do at the track. Main jobs were fitting a new crank sensor after destroying the old one (car runs again now, and doesn't need cranking for 30 seconds before it'll sync - suggesting the underlying issue has been present for some weeks) and replacing a fuel hose with a lovely hand made stainless hard line.

Fixed the abs finally. Not 100% how mind. Gave the g sensor a few taps. Cleared the codes and all was good in the world again.
Also got some new wiper blades and got it motd. Passed with flying colours. Can't complain for a 23 year old car!

Got the rear in the air to try and diagnose a knocking noise I have at low speeds, thought I pinpointed it to the inner CV joint on the nearside, but after putting it all back together again it seems to have stopped doing it...
