I've been using KRK KNS6400s for a while now, they were only meant to be an interim set until I found something else but I have totally fallen in love with them. I love the flat response they give, it's amazing to hear a mix for a movie or a song as the engineer heard it rather than with boosted bass and stuff.

For 8 years I've been using a pair of big Audio Technica ATH A500 'Art Monitor' (their cheapest high end model at the time)
Best for long play sessions with the unique head pads.

Will always recommend these. 10/10.

Anyone got some b&w p9 headphones? Looking an upgrade alternative to my sennheiser hd650.

Heard them is a shop a while back and did not think they were much better, if any than the HD650.

Quad ERA-1 are getting good reviews, but nobody big has reviewed then yet. I have my eye on them as a replacement as well.

Been a while since logging on here, but since my last visit have added the AudioQuest NightOwl & Shure SE846. Wasn't planning on adding another closed-back (NightOwl) already owning the Shure SRH1540, but when I saw their price drop to £350 for a new set I couldn't resist. Opinion? My favourite headphone ever, more than the Elear.

Unfortunately I haven't had any experience with the Hawks, but from the majority of comments it seems they're pretty similar to the Owls but with less treble presence, wider soundstage and more pronounced mid-bass. I think you'll be pleased with them. The one thing that struck me the most, and continues to, is just how organic they sound. I've not heard anything else quite like it, but it makes other headphones sound etched, even when they're not by traditional headphone standards.
