what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

I have DT990s, AKG K702s and HD650s: I use the HD650s for music, the K702s for gaming and the DT990s live in their box in the wardrobe :D

To be fair, the DT's were also one of my first steps into decent headphones (after my Sony MDR-v6) too and they kept my ears more than happy for almost a year before I got the AKGs. The K702s are certainly better for gaming (more detailed and larger sound stage) although they also required a lot more amping to drive properly so I also had to upgrade my Creative Sound Blaster Z to an Asus Xonar STX at the same time. Worth it though, Skyrim never sounded so good. :D

I also have an STX, for some reason i heard DT990 were better for gaming than K702... Damn never mind, they were an extra £50 and i dont have that much disposable income to justify too much expense

The AKG K702s can also be modded by simply removing a couple of stickers inside the cups - should you desire an extra 5db across the bass frequencies :D

I also have a pair of hyper x clouds to be fair these are superb for "gaming" headset , it says a lot when they can compete with audiophile stuff really. Shame they are closed back as I can't use them to speak with as I need to hear my voice when I talk or I turn into a **** :p

They live on my desk at work now so at least they are still in use

The Hyper X Clouds are basically Takstar Pro 80's, which are a very good budget headphone that normally retails around the £60~£65 mark. They are a sort of Chinese take on the DT770.

I now have two sets of very new headphones for sale on a certain auction site, hoping to recover some costs.

Selling most of my expensive stuff to fund for my gaming PC. Sold my Shire SE535 and gained the Beats Solo 2. Sold my AD700x and K701 and gained a K612 Pro. Not too bad at all!

I have a few, DT770's running off of a xonar stx, the original Corsair 2100's for when I want to be wireless and a brand new set of Creative labs SOUND BLASTERX H5's which I absolutely loathe and never use.Literally only used them a handful of times and can't stand them even when amped.

I would like in future to try the DT990's

I doubt I'll ever sale it if I'm honest. That little amp does what most £1000 amps can't do.

Plus I want to leave this hobby for good(in terms of buying) so I'm pretty much set for many years.

Thought you'd ordered a crack? I'm currently waiting for a stx to come on Mm, no point getting an amp till then as the dg doesn't have line out

I did but I cancelled it with the hope to grab one in the future. I've really happy with my LCD-2's so have not had any desire to order one. When I get my gaming pc, I may sale the Mojo as I'll have a sound card.

dont know if this is the right place to ask, has anyone had experience with Klipsch customer support?

Ive had two pairs of Image One II's brake on me in the same place (rubbbish plastic hinges) their twitter people were good and respond straight away, however customer support haven't replied to a ticket in 5 days!

Still enjoying my AKG K550 MK2's with my TEAC UDH01. For a £200.00 setup it is pretty sweet and the DAC I can see me lasting for years, it really is lovely sounding.

rPAC I sold to a mate for £50.00 and is the same guy I sold my SoundMAGIC HP200's - he is certainly happy with them!

My next upgrade will be some HD650's and I reckon I will have hit end game.

What didn't you like about your HP200's? I love mine.

Why didn't you just get some HD 650 in the first place ?

I loved them and still regret having to sell them on. I unfortunately suffer from a partner who has very selective hearing and she complained no end about the sound leaking from them late at night even though I was in a different room!

I had to bite the bullet and get some closed cans.

My mate bought both them and the rPAC for £150.00 and he is, as expected, very happy with the setup.

As above. Moving house soon so hoping for some space away from the bedroom to go back to open backed headphones.

I'm seriously tempted by the HD650 but I'm not convinced it'll be that much of an upgrade over my HP200s.

They're probably are a bit better but not £230 better...

:( Gutting

I have a similar issue and when SO is around I have to use my UE6000, but they're not too bad either, bit bass heavy tho.
