They are very comfy.

They're also very bassy - probably overly so. This can be rectified with a little EQ - toning down the bass, adding a little mid-range makes them into some really fun, listenable headphones. Great for movies and hip-hop/rap (or any music with a lot of bass) - not so great with rock or classical. IMO. Good value for the price though. :)

Yeah, they'd be great for movies from what I've read. They look very well built for the price too. Despite thinking I'm finally satisfied with my HD 650s, I still want to experiment. I blame headfi.

I currently have my interest seriously piqued by Denon D2000s. My bank balance hates my headphones. :(

All sorts but i am fine with my dt880.

There has been a guy who spent a ton on headphones and s*** and he came back to the dt880 for gaming.

I have to agree i got the 32 ohm one.

Around the £200 mark it is the dt880.

Ah, here we are. From all the headphones I auditioned, as a gamer, I liked these the best: 1. Beyers DT880
2. Senn HD800
4. Ultrasone 2500 pro
3. ATH- AD700
I know that some of these hp need better amping to hear them in full glory specially HD800 and DT880, so I borrowed some 700$ Harmon Kardon amp from the store, and while the overall quality of sound much improved, gaming-wise, there was little or none difference in positional audio. I have to say that I got the best positional strait out of HP out on STX+Dolby Headphone with all headphones. It just does something to those footsteps.

He spent a lot of all sorts of headphones :/.

If your're a gamer try the dt880 i can't put these down but if your extreme in your budget it is also the stax.

The positioning on these are very good.

I have had the hd 555 hd 650 dt 150 dt 48 ultrasone 2500 proline, dt 770 pro 80 ohm, pc 350 and my choice is the dt 880.

Compared to the headphone i own it is a lot more easier to pinpoint where someone is coming from with the dt 880.

Whoever is with a hd 555, upgrade to a dt 880 the sound will be more clearer if you're a gamer.

How do you find it, does it give a good $$$ to sound improvement ratio ??:):)

Sounds a lot better than the PC's onboard soundcard and is good paired with the iPhone (sometimes have to put in flight mode because of interference). Can go really loud with no distortion and drives all of my earphones really well. Battery life is amazing as well - still on my first set of 5 x AAA alkalines. Got mine for approx £100 2nd hand.
