just get hd600's or hd650's
unless your looking at gaming then get akg's
i've owned and still do tons of headphones and once you hit the hd600 the law of diminishing returns kicks in so badly there is no point at looking further.
If you said that on headfi they would lose their minds. I think the HD6xx series is a headphone the mods on there want people to forget! it beats 90% of the stuff out there and headfi so they wouldn't make as much money.
Anyone who's tried the 650 on a serious system knows how good it is but people in a respected position won't say anything because of sponsors but instead promote crap like the Audeze EL-8 etc.
I'm actually sick of all the lies and snake oil in this hobby and people promoting absolute junk it's one reason I am getting sick of the snakey audio hobby.

I think the 650 especially, is a no brainier but for those who want good sub bass it's a bit more tricky, more expensive if you want an open headphone that has the extension and impact. I thin the HD650 beats out my LCD-2 in areas I prefer but the sub bass is a difference maker, once you've had it, you tend to need it.

I want those to go with my MGS Red PS4! I remember seeing them when I worked at GAME I was always temped to just grab them on my staff discount, wish I did now.

Beyerdynamic DT100 - had them for years.
Should have snapped them up mate - You could try getting from Japan if you cant get them in the UK being Hori they shouldn't be hard to find.
Good upgrade! i tried a friends Kraken and they are trully horrible, Bass that just clouds every other frequency

Pure comfort may be an issue, but there are some Grado SR225e for sale in the MM, brand new for £90.00. These retail for £200.00 so if I was you I would take a punt on them. I've been thinking about them myself and I am not really looking for any at the moment.
