What is defined as cheating?

Asked one of my colleagues his thoughts on this.

"It's when you put your winky in a minky that you shouldn't."

:)

Didn't realise you can call playschool friends "colleagues" :D

Snogging is cheating. And flirting to me is a total waste of time, why flirt if your taken and happy? flirt with your partner to keep the spark alive... if your not happy you shouldn't be with them...

So as far am im concerd if your flirting you just made yourself single in doing so, and if your not willing to tell your partner exactly what you said/the girl you was flirting with said... then you know its wrong anyway

Yes.

I think kissing would count, really don't think flirting does but thats just my opinion. On another note, what level of cheating is totally unforgiveable? I would personally forgive a girl for kissing another guy, particularly if I liked her a lot and had been going out with her for a while. If it was a new relationship it might be different and if it happened more than once I think that would be hard to forgive.

Flirting is wrong. Being friendly, and nice, is not. However, you can be that way without flirting. Flirting is an action expressing romantic/sexual interest, people who say otherwise are fooling themselves.

Now, will I leave someone simply because they happen to flirt? No, but I'll make it clear that I don't really feel comfortable with it.

And that something is always sex?

I'd say 90% of women want sex or a snog at least if they flirt...why?

I feel that way too...Im not comfortable with it either but there is not a lot you can do about it

Lol!

Riiiiiight... if that's how you think the world works.

I flirt with all my female friends and even my gay male ones, purely for the joke/entertainment value.

If you honestly that flirting = wanting to knob someone, then that's your prerogative... that doesn't mean everyone else feels the same.

One of the funniest things was watching my gf flirt with all the guys in the room, having them drooling and eating out the palm of her hand, only to turn away, straddle me and start snogging, haha!

I'm detecting a definate age split in some of todays's threads:

- No-one lsitens to Radio 4 / Radio 4 is the only thing worth lstening to.
- Alcohol is disgusting and I only drink to get drink / I drink because it tastes nice
- Flirting means that you're going to get drunken monkey sex / Flirting can be harmless fun

I'm obviously over the hill.

How can you possibly say that flirting is doing anything else than expressing sexual/romantic interest? Regardless of whether the person doing it is thinking "I want this person."

And I'm very happy for you that you can find pleasure from watching your girlfriend express sexual interest for other men. I, however, prefer that my partner refrains from openly showing sexual/romantic interest in others - it doesn't seem necessary, comedy value seems like a poor excuse to me.

she sounds like a bit of a moron. bit of flirting is okay, but to such an extreme?

edit: probably sounds quite harsh, just doesn't seem all that funny to me. I would definantly remind the woman (probably in more diplomatic language) to know her place espcially if they were mates lol.

For the very reason that I am comfortable and secure in my relationship and have no reason stray.

Again this is what I was referring to. You flirt if your out, especially drinking because your thinking 'I want that person'

I think I could forgive a kiss, especially a drunken kiss
I Couldn't...Simple reason being is a kiss is a kiss, regardless of your state of mind. I use to go out with this 1 girl, and she cheated on me when she was drunk, she said she couldn't remember it at the time, and as I didnt drink, i believed her, now I drink occasionally myself, I know that you can control what you do, at the best of times, but a kiss is a kiss, regardless of whether your drunk or not...If my wife ever kissed anyone (I know she wouldn't though), drunk or not, I couldn't forgive her, and if she lied, that would be even worse in my opinion...but everyone has different opinions.
