Im sure you mean freindly banter not flirting... Do you tell them you would like to get them into bed?

saying things like "Wow you look good today" is being freindly and letting them know you take an intrest, nothing more... It's when people start taking it past that stage its time to worry

Im willing to bet you spent more time flirting with other women more than you flirted with your gf... just because you with them, dont mean the fun stops, have fun with your partner, not other people

I think this is the best quote I can agree with.
I flirt with my wife all the time, doesn't always get me anywhere...But would NEVER dream of flirting with another women because it gives the other women the wrong impression, leading them on.
If my wife flirts with another bloke, especially when drunk, it then puts a trust issue in the way, why flirt when your out if you don't mean anything by is, ESPECIALLY if you don't know the person...

There are different /kinds/ of flirting, fo' sho'.

1) Carry-On Flirting - you know, making innuendos out of anything. Nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say no more! Oo-err missus.

2) Joke-Flirting With People Who'd Knowingly Never Get It - I do this a lot as a joke with workmates (most of whom are 40+, married with children), or some older gentlemen (like really old, 60/70+) because it gives them a nice little twinkle in their eye..!

Doing something you wouldn't do if your other half was there is cheating. If they'd be fine with it, it's not cheating. This is of course very subjective, so you better be sure of your partner's views before you start messing about.

Yes, Neodite, it is more like banter, but still flirty. I think telling someone you'd like to get them into bed is going way beyond flirting...

Perhaps I should elaborate that all this flirting, either by me or my gf are within our social circles, not with random strangers, which which indeed would be weird.

I'm forever making sexual innuendos with my females mates, I don't mean any of it, and they know it, it's just harmless flirty fun.

I guess in that same way that what is considered cheating is down to the individual, flirting can mean quite a variation of things from person to person, and I for one do know see flirting as a clean-cut indication of someone wanting to bump uglies with someone else.
