What is the most beautiful car of all time?

This has been mine since I have cared about cars:

As above, DB5. :D

See i thought the story about the bloke making love to cars was just strange. But there is one car i would not hesitate to make love with.

It was a long time ago (circa 2005) so I may be mistaken, but there was a similar thread to this where you posted an E39 M5, and thus ensued a big argument about beauty being in the eye of the beholder

If I did the thread wont have been about a single most beautiful car of all time. Because the E39 certainly isn't that.

So many to choose from.

A lot of my favorites have already been posted so rather than post another pic of a car already mentioned, I will post this. Have to admit having a soft spot for this since the first time I clapped eyes on it :-

Hard choice, going to need some time to think this one through :)

and OP.. seriously.. you create a thread about Beatiful cars and you cba to rehost the photo and embed it into the page? :p

It has to be the jag and AM for me, both utterly beautiful and british. They are both firmly on the list of cars I would like to have in my stable in the near future.

I notice you've been going to have a car in the 'near future' for about 5 years now, when are you going to hurry up and buy something, no self respecting car enthusiast should be without a car :p

Amazingly beautiful, one of my favourites from the last few years.

I love the Zonda too, I know not many would share my thoughts about it being beautiful, but all the same I think it's fantastic.

In all fairness, if you had more money than god, an old Ferrari would be top of the list if you wanted a beautiful car.

I know and it pains me, being in London for 4 of those doesn't help! There really was no point in me having a car in London, I just cannot justify it, however I finish my masters and move home in September thus I can start playing:)

First on the list is a road/track GBS Zero which I hopefully will be able to get done by the end of the year. My dad wants to restore an s1 e-type and me moving back home has really excited him to find a nice original example and well the db9, that could happen anytime but one things certain is that i'll be driving that one more than him:D

Seriously? Of all the cars ever made you'd pick a Mk2 Golf as the MOST BEAUTIFUL!?

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but.. what?! Surely this is taking fanboyism one stage too far.

Aye, I appreciate it's not everyone's taste, but its mine. :D

Just for the record its not blind fan boy-ism. I love the car and mostly its styling, thus I have one. Certainly is not just a case of 'I have one therefore they're the best' or anything.

But the most beautiful car OF ALL TIME?

You think its more beautiful than an E-Type Jag? An Aston Martin DB9? A classic Lambo? Anything in the Ferrari range? Really?!

For me it is, nice harsh lines. Pretty aggressive looking car for the time, just love the front of it, normal golf is good, but the rallye looks even better. Utterly adore em mate!

I just think its too much of a co-incidence that you also happen to own one. You can say lots about the Mk2 Golf, but I don't see how you can argue with any credibility, even though I appreciate looks are subjective, that its even on a shortlist for the best looking car ever.

I mean seriously, a hatchback designed to be all things to all people, a triumph of function over form, more BEAUTIFUL than various handcrafted Italian supercars designed to look like sex in automotive form?

Seriously, put the VAG Tshirt down and look at the thread a little more objectively and you'll see how amusing your opinion is. The Mk2 Golf is no Aston Martin V12 Vantage :p
