What is white privilege?

Sadly the BBC is greatly diluting its valuable content with copious amounts of SJW pandering and other nonsense.

The take-over started years ago and I'm reasonably convinced that the current crop are mostly on-board with the PC pandering and SJW agenda.

It should surprise few that a lot of the "content" these types put out is pure nonsense.

I mean, just look at the hard-core SJW posters on here for a prime example :p

The absolute state of the left, I've just had a look in the Safe Space Corner thread about Quid Pro Joe choosing Kamala Harris and they've got photos up comparing skin colour because her skin colour matters that much to them. Martin Luther King must be turning in his grave.

That was actually Dowie, who is about as "left" as your right hand.

Turns out you can have your white privilege revoked if you go black fishing

Pretty sure ancient greece and egypt could claim cultural appropriation here, not black culture. Trying to rewrite history is their forte, why are they using English, stop culturally appropriating the language.

The whole thing is beyond ridiculous.

He was quoting someone else?

Literally the conversation went like this:

In Britain she wouldn't be referred to as being black.

She's no less black than Obama, and he was referred to as black in the UK.

She is, easily. Her Jamacan dad is lighter than Obama himself let alone his father and that's the only source of her "blackness", her mum is Indian American not black (which of course keeps the melanin topped up), if her mum was white she'd basically look white too - she'd be mixed race over here. she's got both black and white ancestry in Jamacia, the right wing pundits are now making a big deal about how she's not really black nor is she "African American" or an "American descendant of slaves"... in fact apparently her father is descended from one of the biggest slave owners Jamaica had... she's rather mixed in terms of lineage. Obama on the other hand had a black African - Kenyan father.

Her father:

Obama's father:

So who in that conversation is making a thing about her colour? Doesn't look like "The absolute state of the left" to me

Obama was not black. He was biracial.
You posted obamas dad...but you missed out his mother!
was that because she was WHITE you racist ;)

I didn't call him far right, your putting words in my mouth now.

The point was that you can't look at Dowie's post focusing on how light Kamala Harris skin colour is and blame "The absolute state of the left"

Because it came from someone whose politics are on the right.

Are they? I voted LibDem at the last election... but thanks for deciding my views for me. This is a bad argument/assumption - essentially “you believe A therefor you must also believe B, C, D etc.. that are views I’ve seen held by others who believe A.” Presumably conjecture based on Brexit.

If you look at the thread it I didn’t bring up the topic I replied to another poster commenting on it. The “race” of a politician isn’t important to me personally, it is however a talking point in US politics thus the conversation.
