What IT Certificates do you have?

Pure experience here.

Although I am currently brushing up on Database Administration.

Edit: Oh I did Clait Lvl 2 a few years back.

MCSE
ITIL V2 Manager
Prince 2 Practitioner
MSP Advanced Practitioner
M_o_R Practitioner
ISO20000 Consultants Cert

Looking to do my ITIL V3 exam this year also to tick that off. Also got various levels of hardware certs that have expired now (like Compaq ACT/ACE etc) as i don't really get my hands dirty in the trenches nowadays. The ITIL, MSP and ISO stuff has been used quite a lot, but even though i've got Prince2 it's been at least 3 years since i did project management so would have to read up on it again to refresh, same with MoR. The MCSE is so far out of date (combination of NT4 and W2K) that i would struggle to get anywhere with it really!

i like the way people think certs are worthless, i agree they are if you have no experience but they do add a lot and make you stand out above other people

MCSA, CCNA at the moment... stopped doing certs a year ago. So many people cheat on them they're almost worthless. I'll probably still work towards my MCSE though.

wait what?

i was thinking of going for a couple certs... could you explain further?

Got my ITIL v3 and that's it. You don't need certs to succeed in IT, you just need to land a job with a large and well-respected company and then rack up 2 or 3+ years of solid experience proving you can suceed and indeed thrive under pressure in a large corporate environmen. It's worth more than 10 certs.

This, nearly got 3 years, hopefully my company will open their wallet and send me on a few courses. Don't really have the time though!

IBM Certified Advanced Deployment Professional - Tivoli Fault Management Solutions 2008

Bit of a mouth full...

-RSA Level 2 Word Processing
-ECDL
-ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
-Currently studying for an MSc in Computing for Commerce & Industry; my Project Management unit was supposedly equivalent to the ISEB PM qualification.

I'd say the only qualification which has vaguely helped my job prospects was the ISEB. The annoying thing is I actually quite like studying but my employer doesn't offer any support for formal qualifications really. Although I work in IT, I know plenty of people outside the industry who are more qualified in it than me (GCSEs etc).
