What "man jobs" have you done today?

Why did you get the turf in....? It looked better before :o

Can you not see the run right to left? It's 18 inches higher on the right.

Plus, the old lawn didn't have much grass, that's mostly moss in that pic.

I'll take another pic in two weeks.

Not today but this last week:

Rebuilt all my stairs
Painted the stair case and banister
Installed architrave on 4 doorways and painted
Installed skirting in two rooms and painted.
Screwed down squeaky floorboards.
Replaced some 22mm boiler piping.
Replaced 2 light switches.
Upgraded 3 single sockets to 3 double sockets.
Painted the bedroom and stairwell after the fresh plaster skim dried. 2 prime coats then 2 top coats on the walls and ceilings.

Thoroughly exhausted.

Looks like a job well done there!

Cheers - not bad for a first attempt

Looks like you've got a few awkward slither pieces on the ends there but otherwise I'd be well happy with that effort! Looks nice.

Last minute change to where I wanted to start.. wish I'd stuck with the other plan and dealt with the mess behind sockets!

How'd you get the grouting so neat?

I'd have put a glass splashback behind the hob instead, e.g. http://www.myappliances.co.uk/prod/...er_60x75.htm?gclid=CM2MyJu5o80CFRG3Gwod0QoDIw so much easier to clean.

Not to sure.. infact it was my first attempt at it and just went as quick as possible as I made a rookie mistake of mixing the whole back and then realised I was never going to get it all on the wall before it'd got to difficult to force it into the gaps!

grouting is very impressive :)

Cheers! I might have to give in and finish up the few tiles upto the cooker hood though its already bugging me a little! although that does mean putting my poor diy skills to the test in taking the hood down and moving its position slightly!

Re-felted the shed after it got damaged when I moved it.

Typical.... though 3 weeks of no rain. Move shed and next day heavy rain.... grrrrrrr.

Still the coast is clear for the pallet wall now :)

Fitted some Somfy powered blinds in our home office and integrated them into HomeSeer via a RFXCOM unit.

They now raise at sunrise and lower at sunset.

Prepped the kitchen ready for mass frenzy painting weekend, then its just new floor on, cut the kickboards and job done, then back outside for the pallet wall.
