What "man jobs" have you done today?

This morning i changed over my security light since it hasn't been working for about 6 months or so since it got blown off the wall. This afternoon I've been weeding out my garden again in preparation of getting the whole lot covered for winter. Attempt no. 3 to get it sorted next year!

Built a new hall cupboard. Built the frame in 8x5cm CLS and then routed edge mouldings on MDF which was then sprayed to make the doors/side panel.

Doors are not quite lined up but will do that tomorrow as well as fitting a shelf/coat rail. Plus a little tidy up of edges and things with some caulk.

Not too bad considering none of the walls/ceiling is straight/flat/vertical/horizontal - pesky 1800s houses ;-)

Fitted these this morning - one slight leak through over tightening

The copper pipe is my heath robbinson wing nut tightener/remover

Got quick fill up again and silent.

Living and dining room ceilings washed then painted. The dark purple wall has had a coat of white.

Have until Saturday to reattach the skirting boards, paint them, paint the window sills, give the ceiling another coat, couple of coats of colour on the walls then wash the floor, clean up the conservatory and move all the furniture out ready for the carpets to go in.

Whilst working 40 hours a week, with a dental appointment on Monday. Gonna be tight!

Painted the garden fence.

Tidied the flower beds

Retrimmed the shed with new wood panels

Finally finished the cupboard door I made to fit a 'cubby hole' in our bedroom. Quite pleased with the finished result.

love that front door !!

Had the boiler serviced on Weds, only for him to discover low pressure on the gas inlet....and then at the meter (below legal requirement). Queue gas cut by National Grid and their team swinging into action.

Now got the road half closed and a 100ft trench in garden. That escalated quickly!

Thank god for log burners :D

Decorated the box room, built a frame for the breakfast bar, laid the floor, cut and fitted said breakfast bar and a couple of coats of danish oil.

All ready for the PC, will add shelves and stuff when i get the feel of the room :)
