Finally coming to the end of the penny floor, last of the pennies went down last weekend, followed by the grout (ball ache, took ages) which left it looking like this:
Then for the slightly worrying task of the resin finish.This stuff isn't cheap so only getting one go at it and not being able to practice on anything first kind of had me a bit apprehensive, 13kg of it mixed in three batches then poured and floated on per batch, then a final aeration rollering and pray to the baby Jebus nothing goes belly up, it looks like this as of the resin going down, just hoping it sets ok:
This stuff is a nightmare, with it looking like glass you've got no guage of how even the coverage is and once you've worked back out of the room to reach the first lot then it is what it is. Never again.
