What "man jobs" have you done today?

Changed a blown bulb in garage used between two strip lights to give instant light until they fire up.

Only took me two weeks to think about it & 6 stubbed toes fumbling about in the dark trying to get the dog ready for her walk prior to the fluorescent lights coming on.

Done it right this time though, used a low energy replacement bulb.

Put my daily driver battery on trickle charge - will leave it on for a few days as I won't be using it, helps to keep the battery in good condition through the winter.

I have made a Lasagne from scratch (inc pasta, made that last night) made a garlic french stick, on a slow prove so its ready for the lasagne tonight. And also made a wholegrain malted loaf on a low yeast mix so it will prove all day and be ready to bake when I get home from work.

Your boyfriends a lucky man.

Finished my book case- set in an unneeded doorway (in my games room) with shelves made out of skirting board I had left in the garage from the house refurb

Have to sand and paint, but nearly there now.

Finally made more progress with bathroom. Tiled my bathroom sink area. Took ages as I have OCD
Tanked it a while ago with left over shower stuff, saves worrying about spilt water

Repainted the living room in one weekend:
Filled spots reshaped some old filler areas
Sanded all walls down with orbital sander
Cleaned walls & ceiling with sugar soap
Masking tape...
2x Base coat
2x Colour coats - with two colours
1x white coat on the ceiling.

Still todo - but these will wait for now:
* coving
* skirting boards
* doors & frames

She helped and now appreciates the effort involved lol. 13 hours elapsed saturday and almost about 10 hours today..
