What "man jobs" have you done today?

I did a bit of plant re-potting and put up a hook outside to hang the umbrellas on. He had been leaving them on the floor under the car port but a cat kept peeing on them :(

I also measured out the area that I want to build a path/patio on, however I just sat down to work out the total area and realised I left 1 measurement off, and it's dark and raining now :D

Wtf. Nice mallet, but I wasn't expecting the pictures to become very slightly pornographic!
Cheeky monkey! Although a loose button is a fairly low bar, so I respect your modesty! (I might show my ankle next time.... ;) )

That was accidental actually, that top is terrible for popping open and not really the right attire for the workshop, but I was in a rush needing to head out. By time I realised later I couldn't be bothered to take photos again (not least as I'd already started using the mallet so it was already getting bashed up a bit!).

I'll make sure I'm wearing a full puritanical Victorian outfit for the next time I'm making something....

...I've seen your instagram

Knew the weather was going to be fine today so booked the day off work and arranged for some reclaimed sleepers to be delivered so I could start my garden project of getting the lawn ready to be laid with new turf.

Basically created a new edge for the lawn as whoever did the existing patio made a pigs ear of the haunching to the sides which just looked super untidy, and I've created a new back edge to the lawn which we will add some kind of decorative stone to cover the ground around the shed and back up the new edge we've created next to the patio too.

Just I need to order in about 5-6 tonne of top soil and a couple ton of stone then i'll be ready for turfing.

So we've gone from this....

To this....

I suppose I didn't do this man job, but there was a lot of prep work putting a timber frame under a 20kg ceramic sink! I also wago'd off the electrics.

Im sure some readers here like seeing this stuff too.

I got some worktops and a sink.... Also getting a quartz back splash behind my hob

The Before, it was dark in the room and painted the cupboards (this was around 18months ago)

The after. Its quite novel having quartz window boards also. The final finish will be tiled above the up stands which will hide the mess...

Quite cool watching the pneumatic grippers pull the units together whilst the epoxy sets

The backsplash behind the hob they're going to have to redo the entire section :X theyve done the cut outs wrong when templating and means electrical outlets would never fit!

I had to rush 2 complete coats of ceiling paint as the section which had a leak + leak stain didn't "blend" well. So recoated the entire thing. At least I had help...

Finally got round to installing ethernet cable in the house for my AiMesh network so that I can have a proper backhaul and not rely on WiFi. Made a massive difference and the wife just kept asking why I was screaming and shouting and dropping the occasional f-bomb whilst I was up in the loft  I just told her I was doing mad stuff and needn’t be concerned:cry:

I've finished work to the spare / guest room. Finally found a lamp I'm happy with, plus left the old uplighter in there temporarily until the wifi enabled g9 blub arrives for the new one.

The carpet is wool, so gives a nice natural feel to the room. Finished it off with a bit of bespoke Ai art. :p
