What "man jobs" have you done today?

Have I got too much time on my hands.?

I have at least 20 chutney jars in garage -I store nut/bolt/screw/plugs etc in and these square jars pack tighter than round ones.
The only drawback is finding what the hell is in what jar.
So got hot glue gun out and stuck one of the contents of jar on lid - so now a quick scan of tops and there is the 5mm nut I need or 6mm bolt- wall plugs etc.

Life is boring when you have finished all the jobs that needed doing.
If you have time to burn I've got a few jobs for you. Will cover travel costs and provide tea and biscuits.

Todays big job was replacing the faulty doorbell pus button. Only been like that for 6 months :D

That had potential disaster written all over it. A small job to replace one button ends with you replacing all windows on the house after accidently breaking the front door and being unable to get a replacement...

I’ve been replacing the new laminate floor after the wife flooded downstairs with the bath ‍♂️
strange you say that. Was a strange smell in the utility room last night and on checking it out it seems that the washing machine connector has been dripping for a while :( We've just ordered new flooring so good thing we found it. Away to try to hire/buy a dehumidifier today to try to get this dried out a bit. :(

Yeah dehumidifier helps. Ive had our dehumidifier going for about a week solid to dry it out before putting the new floor down.

Tried and failed to fix leaking washing machine :( stripped it down as far as i felt comfortable, but still count work out why it was leaking.... time for a new washing machine (it is about 9 year old)

I need to change my kitchen tap over to a new one but whoever fitted the last one has broken the shut off valve underneath so I can’t turn the water off under the sink.

Going to have to turn it off outside at the main entry point, ball ache.

Anyone know if this stuff is any good?
Might save you from messing with the main valve.

Finished sanding the joints between the plasterboards and started painting. My arms are killing from sanding on the ceiling.

This is all more damage repair from the wife’s bath disaster

Trying to sort out new micro filters for the Meile Vac - They only put two in a pack of bags and they don't sell microfilters seperate.

Bought a few sheets and can cut my own..

All this because the wife will insist using the Vac twice a day then says it's getting hot.

I told her to stop using it but that didn't go well.

Put in 3 plants to grow into a gap that was left after the winter. Who would have thought July would have been the best planting weather, the ground is usually solid, but it’s never been better. Great growing weather too.

Psyched myself up for a weekend of peak productivity... posting for the record

Any recommendation on good screws for the upper cabinets? I still have sleepless nights about my last kitchen job as I have convinced myself I used like 4x30mm or something (I definitely didn't but my brain likes to convince me of the world ending).

I'll probably just re-use what came down but I'd like to be prepped!

If its going into dot-dab there is no substitute for core fix IMO.

Otherwise if its a solid wall, just use 4x40mm screws and decent plugs like Fisher Duo Power and dont drill into any cables or the gas pipe as my electrician did while re-wiring my kitchen .
