What "man jobs" have you done today?

Taken down two massive awnings. Well, technically I took one down on Wednesday and the other today. The one I took down on Wednesday seems to have already walked away by itself, or local scrap scavengers just took it. I'll hope for the same on this one.

Really handy they've told you exactly what product is on there. The info page for that stuff says simply buff or reapply to rejuvenate. So I'd probably make a note of what it is so you can buy it when the time comes :)
Brilliant, thank you. So i'll leave it for now which is handy as I couldn't wait to set up my new desk :D.

Dishwasher was on the blink (again)

Fettled, fiddled, bashed it and swore at it and it came back to life, of sorts

Got well and truly ****** of with washing up so ordered a new one.

Coming tomorrow so disconnected and drained the old one, removed the unit "integrated" door and hauled the old one out onto the front porch ready for them to take away when the new one comes tomorrow

The joiner / kitchen fitter also seems.to have very kindly left me some "kindling" behind the kick boards :P

I saw this today, I understand why they put that thin strip there but surely it would have been better to put it on the outer edge? It'so so obvious in the corner.

New dishwasher was delivered

So connected up water, drain and power

Adjusted the legs

Swore

Put it in the gap

Adjusted the legs more

Used every expletive I know plus some new ones putting the door on.

Spend 20 minutes "fine tuning" it until the Mrs signed it off

Yes the nearest door needs to close over more ...

I had to remove the auto close bin on the inside of the door to reconnect so that's my next job sorting that ....

Been in loft tracing camera cables - I found out the hard way writing it on cable where you plug it into NVR means absolutly FA. - the cables have been moved around since

I should have marked them every 5ft as I went with coloured tape with different colour for each cable'

Then wrote it in a book with diagram and plug number on back of NVR .

Also should have done it when it was warmer and worn a face mask.

Shouldn't have done it day after shifting 1.5 Cm of logs to furthest log store in garden.

Should have stayed in bed all day today.

The time span from being 55 to 79 is just long enough from jumping off roof -humping ladders and heavy stuff around to knacker you up and all those easy jobs you did with your eyes shut are now almost impossible.

I did manage it with a lot of faffing and doing some of them twice because forgot to write it down.

This calls for a glass of brandy so I'm off.:(

You've had a busy weekend mate !

A glass of Brandy or two is well deserved ;)

I’ve installed a temporary outdoor socket at the front for the pressure washer/ hoover as I’m fed up of putting it through the window.

Used an existing hole for a redundant aerial and put some flex attached to an outdoor socket on the wall and a plug on the inside as there’s a socket just through the wall.

Here’s my helper keeping watch

Finally got the off cut of worktop into the utility. I also did the first fix plaster to fill the chase. Just needs a polyfill and a paint now. It'll be a temporary work station whilst I do the bathroom as that room is currently being used as an office.

Also oiled the other worktops. They've needed a good soak since I fitted them back in....god knows when.... august?

I actually prefer that, as its as if the tile is wrapped round - I think it would look odder if you had a partial tile on the back wall and then a full tile on the side. What was the other back corner like?
The other corner was normal. This just looks odd to me, the thick sealant in the corner makes it not wrap around. It draws my eyes to it because the entire tiled area is all the same apart from that crappy little strip in the corner
