Just stacked another trailer full of logs in here - We used all this log store from November till January - This is second load so one more will be more than enough to fill it. - Will be well dry next November

Drained cleansing solution out of CH, changed CH pump, refilled with X100 inhibitor. The old pump has a load of sludge in it.

New one runs low pitch but quieter - this could be a slightly lower through put - it's the same brand as the old British Gas one, has the same three selectable settings too.

Will have to see it's performance :)

The Boiler is a Myson Appollo 30 that requires 690 litres/hour (=11.5l/min, Q=0.69m^3/h) , the old pump is a BG Grundfos Multihead G. The new pump is a Grundfos 15-50/60. I note that it's less current draw. Looking at the stats - the new pump can deliver the required Q 0.69.

Looking at the plumbing websites - it's the correct replacement. It's just more efficient.

Not technically all me, had to call in reinforcements for my kitchen. Worked with a tiler on this, who admitted himself has been one of the more challenging jobs to date .

Just helped clean the whole house.. cut back the dead plants in the garden, cleared some blanket weed from the pond (the water is damn cold).. Mrs was complaining about the garden (i.e. things flow into each other rather than being discrete things.. I think it's the french way of looking at things..
Next garden job will be to scarify the lawn later in march. It has shedloads of moss and I know from digging the 1 meter foundation of the telescope pier that it's a small amount of top soil and then just sand.. down to sand. So it looks like the garden doesn't have enough drainage or aeration..
Also identified that I will be redoing the some of the plumbing under the kitchen sink..

Completely out of blue said to wife cover your plant's in front of shed as I am going to creosote it - So with a mixture of creosote and used diesel oil I did front - then decided to move water butt at back further back and altered gutters - Then while back was clear creosoted back as well.

Having to have a long rest now. - drinking a lot of amber medicine.

Took the back panels out of some Ikea furniture. Did some grouting. Cut a tree down. Attacked the brambles and crap that had grown through a chicken wire fence. Won. Soldered a tweeter to a driver, fixing my Kef speakers. Fitted the shelves to our Ikea wardrobe.

I might replace the earpiece on my ip5 tonight but I'm two glasses of wine in and feeling a bit tired.

Mrs and I shifted all the furniture out of one of the bedrooms, lifted the carpet up, screwed down all the squeaky floorboards, gave the whole thing a good sweep and vacuum. Then put down a load of lining paper, laid some PU foam underlay, refitted the carpet and moved all the furniture back in. Feels soooo much nicer to walk on now. Just got the other 3 bedrooms to do now >_<

Relaxing sunday.. fitted my Electronic blanketweed controller to the pond, fixed a telescope dew band heater (heats up to prevent dew condensing on the optics). Fixed a few bits of software.

This next week is going to be hectic.. so it it was good to have everything sorted friday-saturday..

Rodded the septic tank pipe, lovely few weeks of backed up crap. It's amazing how much two people produce, it was coming out in tubular slugs the same size as the pipe, excellent.

Dig a trench in garden - lay slugs in a line - cover then grow your celery there - My Mom said it's best you can get - They emptied cast iron bucket from outside bog like that - but runny or hard should do same job.:D

They are on small sheets 2-3 per slips per tile. However, It was almost impossible to join one to another so it was a case of removing them from the mesh and doing individuals.
