What "man jobs" have you done today?

Further organising. Overloaded my wood cart with the leftover roofing battens. Had a brain wave to park it where the mower and scarifier lived.

Which gave a subsequent brain wave on where to store the twice a year used scarifier.

Well yes obviously it wasn't a massive lack of Victorian mortar hole in the old boiler room and it was 2 whole tubes and then lol I ran out so used jelly lol and then the wires were not long enough so I used straightened out paper clips and then you will not believe this lmao, I ran out of Wago's lol, so used Blu Tack and then..lol..I know wtf..I cut the cpc back to far, so used a 9 inch nail hammered into the wall.
Hopefully that was written in a way you will understand ;)
Pictures speak louder than words luckily ;)

Managed to grab 14sqm plus probably another 2sqm of good sized offcuts of very expensive gym floor.

Next time miss align the screws, put some dodgy house wrap around the socket, disconnect the earth and leave gaps around the socket….. then he would understand from experience what you did lol

OH I don't know if I could drop that low to be honest, but might be worth it for forum bants

I spent a while re-painting my skirting boards after the carpet fitters absolutley ****** them up with black marks. Was really annoyed because I had them all finished because I didn't want to have to paint them with the carpet down

How long did you leave between painting the skirting and having the carpet fitted?

You should ideally wait a few weeks to give the paint time to harden. I had painted the skirting about a week before and the carpet fitter told me this, said that it would hack the paint so had to delay fitting them, which was a pain as I was just about to put that house on the market!

I left it 10 days because that's what the instructions said in the paint for it to reach hardness. The more you know eh! Next time I'll leave it longer
