What "man jobs" have you done today?

Those downlights are always quite unforgiving on surfaces (similar issues with brickwork) but yeah Id probably change them.

Its OK with old brickwork as can call it character :D

Tempted to change them to positionable spots, and point them away from the wall a bit - and maybe slightly inwards as the 7 metre gap between them leaves quite a dark spot centrally!

Got a link to the light fittings?
These Ones Cheap and cheerful on Black Friday, but would recommend getting some Wago Gel Boxes in the back, with 221 connectors for more user friendly mounting.

I currently have a wall mounted extractor in our en suite bathroom, which is not doing a sufficient job of getting steam out leaving us with condesation on the window, tiles and more recently the start of black mould on the ceiling - the wall mounted extractor is not situated in the best place for effective extraction, and only pulls 15l a minute.

I've ordered a Manrose 100t inline extractor unit to be put in the loft space which I'll use in conjuction with the above, which will vent out of an also ordered Ubbink UB41 with the pick up point being in the shower, with 60l a minute extraction rates.

Can I just cut the cable feeding the existing wall extractor, and Wago junction box the two extractors together off the same isolator? I can't see it being an issue given the relatively low loads involved.

Is there a reason to not use both extractors simultaneously off the same isolator?

Got this installed, now have a nice damp ring (wow!) around the new vent - guessing it's due to a lack of insulation and hot air all being pulled to this spot, then condensating when it hits the cold ceiling.

Back up in to the loft to insulate tonight, and check for any roof leaks from the new vent tile installed.

I think that sounds like a shout - you could lose a lot of sleep over flawless plaster otherwise.

Got a redundant iron gas pipe that is fouling the floor board and central heating pipes. Thinking junior hacksaw the fouling section out. Don't think my multi tool is up to the task!
