What "man jobs" have you done today?

Washed one of the cars
Took Rubbish & Recycling to the tip
Fixed an extension cable by changing the plug
Drinking Beer

Removed rubble from the front lawn.

Mowed lawns.

Re-siliconed bathroom as the old stuff was getting mouldy.

Removed electric shower and prepared plumbing for mixer shower.

Fitted hose reel to brickwork in rear garden.

Got loads done today, was really satisfying .

On the last few fiddly strips of wallpapering the front room, after stripping it this morning. Trying to piece it up behind the radiator while keeping it looking good!

Carpets are coming up later ready for some cable re-routing. VM have snaked their cables and the phone cables around all of the skirting boards and straight across the hallway, tucked under the carpets. We're having all new carpets downstairs and I don't want the current tell tale lines across where the cables run! The phone cables are nearly worn through too so might need replacing.

I'm running them a different route which will be much more direct, although it'll mean lifting a few floor boards. I'll probably do it with conduit and leave a pull cord in there in case I need to change them or add any others, like some cat5e for the telly.

I didn't use anything, just a wallpaper scraper and the plastic sealant remover tool from B&Q. It was so moulded and rotted that it was already coming off anyway - normally I'd use some proper sealent remover to make it easier to get off.

One of the few pleasures of owning a free standing bath, no sealant :)

Finally completed stage 3 of hedge planting by mulching the bed:

Replaced shower screen seals (B&Q had some decent ones thankfully, as the old ones were disgusting).

Lubricated garage door chain / hinges / motor.

Forced child to sweep kitchen floor (like a real man):

If the weather holds up tomorrow I am thinking of cleaning the decking.

When you say you used bleach was this diluted in the water first or did you scrub in then wash with the water?

I have a pressure washer so that will help but just wondering what best to use to help with the cleaning process.

I diluted the bleach I used about 200ml (roughly) with warm water (approx 5L).

We started in the garden this weekend, its going to be a Monmouth task to get it to how we want. Having spent the last year getting really fit I've discovered I really like digging, which to be honest is a good job.

I resealed the bath/shower. I then thought I might as well change the washers on the taps, while doing this the head of one of the tap screws broke. I had to chisel and wrench it off/out. So new tap inserts and heads needed. I then cleaned the windows inside and out.

It then rained.

I washed my car and cut the lawn today and did a bit of work in the garden, quite a nice day really.

My Wife asked me to wash her car when she got in so I jumped on battlefield 3 and said I was to busy now :)

I butchered a tree at the bottom of my garden today. It was blocking out all the sunlight from my garden from about midday onwards as it was far too high!

In conclusion.. Chainsaws are fun! :D
