What PC games are you playing?

I only used it for better graphics and stability I remember playing shadow of Chernobyl it was broken without mods! I did use Teleport a few times tho..... the mod had tons of cheats which I stayed well away from I spoils the game if you spawn car, guns etc...

Sorry wasn't meant to be personal bud. S.T.A.L.K.E.R is probably my favourite PC franchise and i'd like people to get a feel for the game instead of immediately resorting to the Complete mods which dumb it down and make it easier.

Didn't take it personally buddy I tired the game with out the mod now I wished it played it vanilla :( I was told the mod just changed graphics and removes bugs... and gives you optional cheats. Ow well I will play stalker call of pripyat Vanilla love this series its a shame the original developers no longer own stalker rights.

STALKER was probably one of the most atmospheric games ever to hit the PC, alongside AvP and Fear. Problem is I could never get very far into it - could just never work out what to do and would give up.

its funny that from any of my steam purchases the one which ive been playing most is Lego Lord of the Rings. Who would have thought my play time on that would be double that of Bioshock Infinite :p

AK22, if you decide to play COP, I'd consider the 1st Misery mod (the second version is awaiting a much needed patch).

This mod will not hold your hand.

(Myself, I'm not averse to the complete mods. I actually think they're pretty good, though I probably won't play through them again when there's many more ambitious, hardcore ones available).

Cheers for the link still need to buy game I think i will try the first few hours without mods then install misery and see whats it like.

Fair enough. I will, though, add that the default field of view for COP is worse than the other two (55 vs 65), which is horrible imo. You can use a fov switcher mod which allows you set it all the way up to 90, I think.

It's near the bottom of the page (look for 'fov switcher 1.7'), plus there's a 'few' mods for future reference, too :

This

Its been years since I played any TR game, in fact it was on the PS one :D

So picking this up in the Steam sale has been a fantastic purchase

I was looking forward to this hoping it would be like old school ps1 version but all you seem to do is kill kill and er kill things,I was wanting for more puzzles.

Just started playing Mass Effect (yeah, I know. A little late to the party) It doesn't look that dated with the High Rez texture pack mod on it.

The odd game of Hearthstone to go along with that too.

Picked up a few games in the steam sale but the first one I've started playing is Prototype 2. Quite like the first one but you don't have to remember all of the combos

As I was bored this evening, I was looking at my old stat pages from BF2, BFBC2 and BF2142.

When I looked on the list with the two guys I used to play 2142 with with my rank and hours played were very wrong. I decided to install 2142 to check I had the right soldier.

for some reason 2142stats never updated my soldier.

The good news is I've been playing 2142 all night and loving it every little bit as much as I used to. Time to reinstall BF2 aswell I think.

Hard Reset - Been playing for an hour or so and I'm actually enjoying which is a positive uplift from that garbage Blood Dragon. The game is pretty tough and I stupidly selected Hard thinking it would be slightly more challenging than Normal but it's actually quite hard and I've died a few times which you get penalized for in your final score. :p Would recommend for those who prefer more traditional FPS's. Might start again as I didn't do so well on my first run and now have a better feel for the controls.
