What PC games are you playing?

Spent a bit of time today playing that 17GB unreal Engine 5 Matrix city demo but with Superman. quite surprised it ran well, felt like 60fps? Could not see the frames though as NVGFE just N/Ad those figures.

Anyways, ran smoother than what some of the videos online showing it ran so I was happy with that. cannot wait for UE5 to be put into a fully optimised AAA title.

Doom 64 Reloaded.

Some lovely touches and additions to make the campaign fresh, but not too different from the original.

I never thought I'd say this but there's something quite nice, for a change, to only have horizontal mouse look enabled.

That's the great thing about fun, it doesn't necessarily require you to do more. :)

Damn now I really want to kick open Zandronum again

Been playing Ni no Kuni for about five or six hours over the past week or so. I started out really optimistic for this game. Right at the start I was thinking "oh wow, we get to run around and explore a Ghibli world! Oooh yes!" Then it was charming and endearing for a while. Then I started to find the frquency with which I was pulled into the battle screens (with the pre- and post-battle animations) a bit grating. The respawn rates and the population of enemies is intense!

And then in the third zoned area I wanted to quit out to make some food, but of course I couldn't without losing what I'd been doing as you can't save in those places except at the save stone things. So I was running around for another 40 minutes fighting seemingly endlessly respawning enemies over and over until I found my way to a save point. Just don't think I can push through all that. I like a number of things about the game, but the combat is not one of them - and there is far, far too much of it. The lack of save points might be the final issue that puts me off this game.

Aaanyway, I also noticed Deathloop come up on Gamepass and had a play around with that for a bit. Played through the tutorial and the first loop and finding it, well, intriguing enough to want to play some more. So I will be putting Ni no Kuni aside for this for the next couple of weeks I guess.

hitting warframe quite hard at the moment. I played it soon after release, then put it down before going back now......... it is quite over whelming but am enjoying it for now. am sure i will burn out at some point and then put it down again for ages before rinsing and repeating again in the future.

Metal: Hellsinger on xbox gamepass pc.

Really enjoyable. Think Doom but with a metal soundtrack, where you do extra damage for firing your weapon on beat.

It's runs well and the gameplay is fantastic. My only issue is it looks to be a relatively short main story... Maybe 4 hours? Lots of replay ability though, to get a higher score and unlock more weapons and sigils.

I'd say 7.5/10.

Hunt: Showdown, definitely should have purchased this a year ago but I've been stubborn as wasn't sure anyone in our group that play Tarkov would put any time into it. Very well designed game! Just wish it has true solo mode.

Oh! That sounds good. It wasn't even on my radar but will download it now.

Days Gone - Picked it up on the sale last week and 5 hours in so far, slightly different take on Zombie games and the motorbike feels way too stiff but it's been decent so far. Looking forward to where the story goes and can't wait to get my hands on the .50 cal whenever that comes.

Currently switching between automobilista 2, rocket league and csgo depending on who’s online on my friends list. Good mixture to have.

Now that there's an ultrawide fix, I'm playing Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch, it's like being in a Studio Ghibli movie!
