What PC games are you playing?

After finally getting a new laptop I'm playing half life 2, assassins creed origins, and starcraft 2. After not gaming so almost 1 year there are a few games I'm dying to play and push my new laptop as its high spec I'm looking forward to playing the likes of cyberpunk and red dead redemption 2
You needed a new laptop to play Half Life 2... How old was your last laptop!?

Just started playing Assassin's Creed Origins, and completely amazed at the difference in playability when using DXVK instead of the standard AMD DX11 graphics driver for my Vega 64. I would have never imagined it could actually hit near enough 100 fps while sitting near 80 much of the time at the highest settings and at 1440p, even with my now mediocre hardware.

It's a real shame what is clearly an amazing game was left with such a hobbled experience for so long.

Played four hours of Immortals Fenyx on gamepass PC. I like its cute female protag and the writing can be funny at times, but the copy/paste schematic nature of its world and boring combat just kill my excitement. Archolos for example was so much more immersive and engaging and fun..
So I dropped Immortals.

Instead started playing Elex 2, which..has its issues, but at least it is a proper RPG with an interesting world to explore and some choices to be made.

Go play Horizon Zero Dawn if you have not done so already. Played it on the PS4 Pro a few years ago and now playing on steam. What a great game, has me hooked again. I stopped doing the main story after a few and done only the errands and side quests plus finding all the ancient items, flowers, view points etc. The main mission says ideal level is 12, I am already level 35

The graphics in HDR on an OLED monitor looks lush which is a nice bonus :D

Already finished on Pro years ago and second time earlier this year on PC. My Steam playthrough took me 65 hours and I also got all the sidequests and collectibles.

I like it, but still find it 8/10 at best really. I hope Guerilla will create fullblown RPG and with grungier aesthetics and less busywork someday.

It gets at least a 9/10 from me. Pretty much done everything now, nothing left on the map to do except to either start the frozen wilds dlc or continue with the main story mission which I am still very early on as I stopped doing it once the map opened up :D

I wonder what the Horizon Forbidden West is like relative to this. All I know is it got just as good if not better reviews, but I have avoided it all as I will definitely buy and play it when it releases on Steam at some point in the future. Probably a day one purchase from me assuming I can get it for £35 or thereabouts.

Lord Of The Rings Online. Played it several times over the years. A very clunky game that is showing it's age. But I do have a soft spot for it. The story telling is absolutely amazing though, and the community is exceptionally nice.

I still sporadically dip in and out of LotRO, but you're right; it is clunky. They are supposed to be working on a graphics update last I heard, but no idea when it's likely to appear.

Not bad, you're only slightly overlevelled for Frozen Wilds:D

Haha, yeah. I will start that after a few main quests. My next main quest asks you to be level 12

I enjoyed so much I went mad doing everything the map had to offer. I can fast travel everywhere now and kill anything pretty easily.

Looks like i have missed out on a lot, was thinking it strange i was finding few side quests, do i just go out looking for them ? i was pretty much going main quest to another, haha no wonder im struggling, level 9 and the main quest line is for level 12, know any good places for side quests and to level up ? I've just helped clearing 3 camps with a party

The NPCs will have exclamation marks above their heads and this is also viewable on the map
