What PC games are you playing?

Been playing multi games for the past 25 years with mates every Friday, neeeeeeeeeeerd!

Anyways, went from Quake to CS, through various others, DayZ/Arma and then all of the MW/Warzones. Kinda had it with Warzone and keen for us to get our teeth into something else. D4 seemed right but a few of the guys aint interested.

Any recommendations for something multi? Was thinking Division or Elite Dangerous maybe?

Something with at least a little depth, hard to please everyone

Baldurs Gate 3 , haven't even reached the main city yet and I'm loving the game, easy 9/10 for me
Starfield however, utter tripe so far with people being rather blind to how bad the game is just because omg Bethesda's new game! ( 3/10 )

Lets see, where am I at with my gaming.

Still got BG3 on the go (still my GOTY)
Will try out Starfield this week
Then September 19th is Lies of P
October 3rd Lamplighters League
October 5th Assassins Creed Mirage
October 19th Endless Dungeon
October 24th Cities 2
October 27th Alan Wake 2

Thats my playlist for the next 2 months :)

Just tried out some Game Pass games (Wolfenstein titles) on GeForce Now. I am seriously impressed. It feels like there's no lag at all. Definitely going to try one month at the upgraded level with the RTX4080. It's going to be mega when they add the whole PC Game Pass library to the system.

Waiting for this last blooming bit of summer to get out of the way so I can use my pc again. (In a loft, gets hot up here)

As for games currently playing Ratchet and Clank.

I have Diablo 4 installed ready to go once this weather is over.

After that on the agenda is: Armoured Core 6, Baldurs Gate 3, Starfield.

Then when they release: Lies of P, Assassins Creed Mirage and Alan Wake 2.

That's a man that loves his gaming !!

And on the hardest difficulty too!
You betcha, wherever possible. FPS games, tactical strategy, grand strategy, action RPGs, realtime games, turn based games, driving games, single player (generally bleh), co-op games (generally awesome) , play it all. I'm adaptable like that :D

I usually try from a prolonging angle, but sometimes the devs just up the health bars and call it a day which isn't always fun.

Thats true, in an ideal world when you increase difficulty there will be more enemies or smarter enemies or they have different skills, but all too often devs are lazy and the difference between Normal and Very Hard is simply that the mobs become bullet sponges. I know of a few big name titles that were just sloppy like that.

Just replayed Space Marine for the first time in like 9 years. Definitely a product of its time but was good fun for the most part with some decent moments. Hopefully the sequel is a bit longer and a bit more challenging though.

I tried replaying Space Marine and couldn't get into it, I recall thinking it was ok when it launched and being just ok is not a good bar to set for a replay all these years later.

I must admit it didn't quite live up to the memories I had of it all those years ago but very few things do to be fair. Still it was a fun blast from the past for the short time it took to complete it.

It got the feeling of being a Space Marine right but it is very linear with quite a few dead areas and definitely lacked much depth. The Space Marine 2 gameplay trailers certainly look the part, just hope Saber can get the balance of fun and challenge right.

meh! I have so many games these days I am generally a normal difficulty. I wouldn't mind but as someone already said half the time hard just means insane bullet sponge with huge ttk whilst they can 1 shot you. this isn't fair and for me isn't fun if it means a badguy takes a full clip to take down.

gears of war was like that (the 1st 3 of which I DID finish on insane before realising it was just dull (for me) ) so 4 and 5 I just did on 1 up from normal.
i can't remember the name of the game but years ago codemasters did a couple of really good military fpsers (operation flashpoint maybe but not sure).
they were hard. no Leroy Jenkins tactics in that one , if you were spotted the badguys could flank you and if you were hit in the head you were dead.

but so we're the bad guys so it was always fair.
(in so far as any "4 people vs over 100 people" could ever be fair

as for what am I playing.

divinity original sin 2 (tricky combat in that one and that is a little spongy on the bad guys health)
borderlands 3 (a poster child for bullet sponges on hard ....... and yes we are playing on high mayhem and it is spoiling the game for me but I am outvoted)
deep rock galactic (I love that game)

Tried Snowrunner like many in here, pretty physics but just cannot enjoy the gameplay loop. Struggle for 45 minutes to reach a marker, get stuck, call out another truck to help, get stuck also. 2 hours wasted, pure sadism . Never again.

I genuinely thought about buying this. I’ll give it a miss

Been playing the demo of Enshrouded off steam. Described as Valhiem\Zelda only playing single player though. Seems alright. Can't work out how you save game though. It's not quite smooth at ultra on my 4090FE but it's early days.
