What PC games are you playing?

On my second play through of Aliens: Dark Descent. Hopefully not making as many Lt. Gorman mistakes this time.

Devs have absolutely nailed the whole Alien/Aliens universe “feel”, especially the distrust between the USCM and Weyland-Utani.
This is the top-down one! I keep thinking Aliens Fireteam Elite. I must really check this out being a massive alien fan, it seems to have gone under my radar.

I genuinely thought about buying this. I’ll give it a miss
I find it quite relaxing,
Yes you can go down a route & get stuck after 2 hours & can down the route of recovering your truck. however the first lesson of snowrunner is DO NOT follow the obvious path if you follow the mud trails you will get stuck, the idea is to make your own route along the edge or through forests.
Keeping near items you can winch too then it becomes quite nice, its like Euro Truck simulator but with more strategy

I picked it up on Steam for 25% off (€23 or such) and have throughly enjoyed it.

One top tip: go into the settings and enable Pause Mode. By default, hitting Space to issue squad commands only enters Slow Mode, where the critters et all are still moving towards you to bite your face off.

You can get a key in CJS for £4.50

I've gone back to playing Anno games and find them very relaxing after playing Elite Dangerous for years. I don't like Ubisoft Connect much, but they have some great titles and Anno 1800 is probably the best game I've ever played for it's depth and complexity. I'm too old now for shooters and my reactions are crap, so my gaming future is limited as most modern games seem to be firmly aimed at younger players - I'm 72. :-)

Starfield, Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty.
Last week I did Halo 3/4 via the Master Chief Collection, very annoyed to find out 5 wasn't on there and Infinite which I've got turns out to be the 6th one! So watching a well edited playthrough with cutscenes as I'm not messing about signing up to stream an xbox play through via a browser and all this nonsense. I've heard it's a bit hit or miss with the 2 'teams' but I really liked what was going on with Chief and Cortana and the way everyone really cares about both of them and respects Cortana just as much despite being an AI, and treat her like a real person, very very well done. So I'll watch this playthrough edit just to absorb the good bits from the cutscenes tbh.

Then I'll weigh in Infinite. 4 was the best Halo I've played, they're usually alright gameplay wise despite having done a 1/2 many times, but 4 was just something else, and for the 1st one the new team did, incredible (for a Halo) and if I have time I'll finish my first play through of Black Mesa :D

That should then lead me nicely to the point where Alan Wake 2 is out and then Robocop :)

Ashes of The Singularity Escalation. Yes, it’s old…

Campaigns a pain in the rear at the end of it. I find you have to rush the AI before it builds up and overwhelms.

Well.... i was still pushing my way through Starfield. Sometimes enjoying it sometimes forcing play for a bit to get to another interesting part of the game.

I then downloaded Cyberpunk out of curiosity (I only completed act1 when it first released and wasn't vibing with it so haven;t touched it since then).

Anyway..... am now 50hours in and enjoying it so much! The depth of game, characters, story, world is soooo much more than Starfield. I'm not going to head back there until Cyberpunk and probably Phantom Liberty is done.

I didn't want to be "that person" shi***** on Starfield btw.... I am a huge Bethesda fan and recently upgraded my rig purely to play it. It does feel quite souless on reflection at the moment.

Was playing Starfield but wasn't really grabbing me, now that ARK Ascended is out that'll probably be my main game for the foreseeable future.

Also was at my parent's for a while recently so was limited to controller games, ran through a bit of Mafia and GTA5 single player which was good fun (and trying to get the most gains from the stock market stuff after Lester's missions on this play through!)

Edit: also looking forward to playing some KSP2 once they sort out the current issues and add some of the promised features

I've just finished up BG3 and I'm now trying to find something to fill that hole in my life
