What PC games are you playing?

I got Anno 1800 in the steam sale.

I've been a bit bored of Civ recently, so this is good timing.

Itit looks rather nice. It seems very fiddly, but I'll stick with ifiror a week or two and hope it's decent.

Well.... i was still pushing my way through Starfield. Sometimes enjoying it sometimes forcing play for a bit to get to another interesting part of the game.

I then downloaded Cyberpunk out of curiosity (I only completed act1 when it first released and wasn't vibing with it so haven;t touched it since then).

Anyway..... am now 50hours in and enjoying it so much! The depth of game, characters, story, world is soooo much more than Starfield. I'm not going to head back there until Cyberpunk and probably Phantom Liberty is done.

I didn't want to be "that person" shi***** on Starfield btw.... I am a huge Bethesda fan and recently upgraded my rig purely to play it. It does feel quite souless on reflection at the moment.

Nothing wrong with honest criticism of an average game. Cyberpunk (now it's fixed up etc) is the much better game.
The 7/10s that Starfield got from the big reviewers were spot on. It can be fun and there's a decent amount to do but it's not ground breaking or new/impressive.it feels like it would have been a 9/10 in like 2015, but things have moved on and many open world RPG games just do it a lot better.

Picked up Supreme Commander bundle in a sale a while ago, did play the first originally but never the expansion or sequel, so hammering those atm. Forgot a) how bloody long the missions are and b) how revolutionary the zooming out was at the time. Coming from C&C Remastered not that long ago it's awesome.

I'm curious as to what games you'd put on that list (many open world RPG games just do it a lot better) since, as much as I love Cyberpunk, it's a terrific story-driven action game, but a pretty poor RPG (haven't played Phantom Liberty yet so perhaps they've improved things there).

In Lords of the Fallen fighting the lock on mechanic was pretty hard as well! :D

I'm playing:

FF7 Remake Pt1 Intergrade - in preparation for the next part coming out in Feb.
Octopath Traveller 2 - if you liked Octopath 1 it's an evolution of it, more of the same, some improvements.

Elden Ring is on my list to get/play at some point.
