What PC games are you playing?

Monster hunter world, not sure if I like it that much.

Year in review says I played 9 games and 27 sessions. How some people have 1000+ sessions is beyond me.

Started Aliens Dark Descent the other day. It's nailed the tense atmosphere of the franchise and it's reproduced the feel and look of the Alien settings well. Very remiscent of the second film. I'm at the end of the second main mission area, though, and as much as I like the setting and tension, there's something that just feels a bit off about the mechanics to me. The tension devolves into frustration trying to get the squad to do what I want precisely enough, manage sight-lines, get my sniper to actually make a shot, all that kind of stuff. Not quite sure I'm going to stick with it despite it's good points.

There was a demo of Slitterhead released recently so I gave it a go. Since the initial previews I liked the look and unique setting. A shame nobody bought it and it bombed as it's not bad.. from what I played. The demo is just the initial tutorial then it ends abruptly.

After having finished and enjoyed Ghost Recon Breakpoint (Solo) I have been thoroughly enjoying Ghost Recon Wildlands. I didnt expect it to be as good but its actually much more fun than Breakpoint imho.

I might reinstall Breakpoint, tried to play solo but the forced Co-op/MP parts lagged the game and just caused friction to playing for 30mins here and there.

I just bought Horizon: Forbidden West (CDKeys ~ £25) installing now, but it'll take a while with a household full of people also trying to use the internet!

God I'd love to play some unreal tournament for nostalgia. Is it one of these games that's a real pain to get working on modern systems

Yup you just made me want to fire it up for a bit of Facing Worlds and Primeval. It's sat on my hard drive, not played it in a couple of years. Went to play and it says invalid licence key (forgot I reinstalled windows in September so no registry entry, and god knows where my key is )

It can be fiddly to get it running on modern systems but iirc there are guides on the web and You tube.

There's also really nice mods for it adding ray tracing and reshade

Having just brought BO6 I decided to play through CoD MW3, nice campaign but felt a little hollow towards the end setting up MW4. Now to make a start on Cold War, then I can play BO6....but first some AstroBot on PS5.
