I just noticed BeQuiet announced they launched Dark Power 13 PSUs today, UK retailers will have stocks available for sale from 24 January 2023. £289.99 for 1000W, very good price for 80 PLUS Titanium.

Yep they look decent also, Looks like more and more are about to get to get released.

The Dark Power Pro will be launching soon too...... I'm going to wait for that.

Corsair will launch RMX Shift series ATX 3.0 PSUs soon. I noticed notice printed on PSUs right side said they are designed to use new Corsair type 5 cables.

I bought Corsair 600W 12VHPWR type 4 cable so it will not be compatible with RMX Shift ATX 3.0 PSUs?

I checked my Corsair 600W 12VHPWR type 4 cable to compared pinouts to type 5, it not matched! So confirmed type 4 cables will not be compatible with type 5 PSU. Very annoyed!

I really hope Corsair RMX Shift PSUs will shipping with type 5 12VHPWR cable, if not then lots of Corsair customers will not very happy to be forced to buy type 5 12VHPWR cable for £20ish.

Any high quality ATX 3 PSU's coming out in next couple of weeks? My full build is waiting for a psu......

I was hoping for the Dark Power Pro 13 1000w+ to come out, but no sign yet, not too keen on the standard Dark Power 13, the cables don't look very nice....??

OC UK just shipped my Dark Power 13 1000W. I am so excited :) Let’s see if it will help with the coil whine (not holding my breath).

@Teeeeee Be Quiet’s own individually sleeved cables are quite well priced. I don’t think OC UK sells them though which is a shame.

Its an absolute nightmare, I have a 4090 still in box because I can't find a decent one. There is the Gigabyte version, but they can get lost after what they did with the 3000 series PSU nonsense. Not sure what the issue is but this is not a situation I thought would happen, no ATX 3.0.

Really? You bought a card without a PSU? Why don't you get an ordinary PSU, it's no big deal to get an ordinary one but it is a big deal to miss out on your warranties with a 4090.

Thanks, I'll try finding the cables, when did you order your psu? I ordered mine yesterday, hoping it comes asap, built my pc today, just waiting on psu now........then again, u'mm using cable mod white extensions anyway, so might just leave the sleeved cables, will be getting the 12pin strimer plus v2 when it comes out for gpu and 24pin mb........ waiting for prices to drop of 4070TI

Nice idea having the cables plug into the side of the PSU. Assuming you have enough clearance to the side-panel that is.

@Darujhistan I was looking at this, hoping it had the 12pin gpu connector, looks like corsair are still using standard 8 pin connector cables......plus it's gold rating..... It's an amazing idea with the side ports, but how many cases will have the space for all those big cables coming out of the side.....unless they made the cables with right angled connections facing up or down......?

I have to agree.

Not using your amazing GPU because you won’t consider a previous gen PSU which works fine is a bit odd.

Just because there’s a new standard, doesn’t mean that all previous standard product suddenly become a potato and stop working.

I'm still waiting for the Seasonic Vertex GX 1000 that I pre ordered on the 11th Jan, I spoke to Cust Services who said they're expecting them on the 10th Feb but another retailer has put back the date to 31st March believe it or not, If it's not here by the 10th Feb I think I'll cancel, Ridiculous amount of time to wait just for a PSU that was announced last September, Not OCUK's fault but if the other retailer has put the date back so much then I don't expect any to come here it sounds like Seasonic have completely messed this launch up, Disappointing but I'll get something else if it's not here within a week. Seasonics loss.

I was in the same situation. I bought a 4090 -- had it sitting around for a couple weeks, but decided to bite the bullet and complete my build with a Dark Power Pro 1200W (overkill but the quality - woah) and a 7700X given the 7800X3D I was planning to get isn't due until April.

Anybody got any updates of when the Dark Power 13 1000w psu will be in stock or shipped?

None of these power supplies make any sense.

Bequiet provide two double 8 pins (total 4), on the power supply side there is only two 12 pins. Why provide two doubles? Who needs 4 8 pins? For cable management for graphics cards that have 3x 8 pin, it'll mean they'll be a spare dangling.

Msi a1000g provide two double 8 pins (total 4), on the power supply side there is three 8 pins. Again makes no sense.

Why not provide a 16 pin to 3x 8 pin...? Nope instead they provide a 16 pin to 2 x 8 pin even though 16 pin is rated for 4 x 8 pin.

I've looked into this thoroughly, the people who make these products obviously don't build rigs, complete idiots.

I cancelled my pre order for the Seasonic Vertex as it's been majorly delayed apparently according to a Seasonic rep on Reddit, I think they ****** up the 240v input for Europe lol, Not waiting any longer.

So I was looking at the Be Quiet 13 1000w until I realised it's multi rail by default and you have to dangle some stupid crap dongle of it called an OC switch to enable it to 1 single 12v rail haha I mean wtf are they thinking, For one who makes multi rail PSUs anymore and 2 no one buying an ATX 3.0 PSU is buying it for multi rail, They're buying it for the 16 pin 600w connector for whoever has a 40x series from Nvidia.

Corsair's so called ATX 3.0 PSU doesn't even have a 16 pin connector.

They're all a complete mess, I'm holding off until they sort their **** out.

Yeah saw that with those two.

Also there's this difference in the packaging, even with the manufacturer, some say atx 3.0 compatible and some say atx 3.0 ready. E.g. msi a1000g vs msi a1000p.

I don't even have a 4000 series PSU, but wanted to upgrade, these definitely were not designed for the 3x 8 pin cards that's for sure...
