WHAT PSU'S ARE DUE TO COME OUT SOON - ATX 3.0 PCIE 5

Yeah saw that with those two.

Also there's this difference in the packaging, even with the manufacturer, some say atx 3.0 compatible and some say atx 3.0 ready. E.g. msi a1000g vs msi a1000p.

I don't even have a 4000 series PSU, but wanted to upgrade, these definitely were not designed for the 3x 8 pin cards that's for sure...
My only reason for wanting to swap out my Seasonic 850w gold was for the power spikes of the 40x series as I do have a 4090 and also the neatness of a single cable straight from the PSU to the GPU but it's almost like these manufacturers have forgotten how to make a PSU.

The standard hasn't changed for god knows how long since ATX 2.0 and it's not like this is new, ATX 3.0 was announced over a year ago and they're all still messing up with their designs.

Can't see many of these first round selling now as far as I am concerned none of them seem to fit the bill for what it's supposed to be doing and when they're more costly than ATX 2.0 you may as well just stick with what you have until they listen to customers.

Never owned a Be Quiet PSU before but liked the look of the new one until I read it was multi rail lol, The mind boggles.

I've recently built a new PC and was looking what ATx 3.0 power supplies were out and the choice was limited. I was leaning towards a Loki 1000W but in the end went for a high end "normal" power supply (AX1600i on sale) and got the 600w cable.

What exactly will I be missing by not having an ATX 3.0 power supply?

Looks like my pc will become antique by the time i get an Atx 3.0 psu. Wish i'd never build a pc now...... been collecting dust for last 2 weeks!

I find it strange OCUK still not got Dark Power 13 1000W PSU in stock so I found a competitor has some in stock but price is much higher.
I've seen them, not paying that price for a dark power though, maybe if it was the dark power pro, then yes!..... I'm beginning to think there maybe something wrong with the PSU's from Be Quiet as i have seen a couple of reviews/vids complaining of fan noise and whining.....maybe a bad batch has led to late/unavailable stock?

Hmmm well I checked Dark Power 13 1000W and Dark Power 12 Pro 1200W reviews has same fan noise.

Dont think there is something wrong Dark Power 13 PSUs but I am not impressed with Be Quiet PSUs fans running at all time at idle and 12V use multi rails.

Right....should I cancel the Dark Power 13 1000W PSU and try to find one of these instead, as OCUK only have a Q1 timescale for release of this PSU, and I cant wait until 31st March for a PSU......

Which of these should I try finding to buy? Which is better, robust and efficient for future proofing......

Seasonic VERTEX GX-1200 1200W 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply

MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 UK PSU 1300W 80 Plus Platinum Power Supply

OR should I just pay someone elsewhere £50 extra IE live £330 and get the Dark Power 13 1000W PSU ???

System includes:-
X670E HERO
AMD 7900X
4070 TI, will get a 4090 TI or in 4 years time......when prices come down
3 NVME SSD
10 Fans
Asus Ryuo 360 ARGB AIO
32 GB Dominator RAM with EXPO
2x Lian Li Additional I/O
MB and GPU Lian Li Strimer Cables

Why do you need a 1000w+ psu? 850w will be enough

Futureproofing....... for GPU's to come in next 10 years, if I need to upgrade due to a GPU or other component failure at least I will have an adequate PSU..... I will also use an EXPO profile overclock on ram, and may in a few years upgrade the GPU..... according to psu calculators on net they recommend either 1000w or 1200w

surprised not many reviews on ATX 3 PSU's on youtube, the one which are on are all breif, not many comparisons or like which you should buy in terms or quality etc?

I found both Seasonic Vertex GX-1200 and MSI MEG Ai1300P dont have stock, said it expected stock on 31 March.

So OCUK already have 7 1000-1300W ATX 3.0 PSUs in stock, just noticed OCUK has new Thermaltake Toughpower PF3 Platinum PSUs in stock but there was no reviews online or youtube yet.

I'm thinking for new build ATX 3.0 normal corsair one (when they come out)... 750w is more than enough for my 5950x + 4070 Ti , may goto 850w for a 7950x3d... as I'm guessing 5070 etc will need more power.

My Vertex 1200 shipped today :)
I just installed mine today, working fine so far. My thoughts:

1) Cables are very thick and chunky and unsleeved. They are stiffer than my old PSU but easy enough to work with and I got everything fitted fine in my Phanteks P600S. Some may care about those cable aesthetics, but I don't as my case is well sealed heavy steel with with no window.

2) It's nice to finally have PCIE5 cable in my GPU instead of the adapter.

3) The fan is inaudible in regular mode (button depressed out) and then audible (around 30dba I guess) in the hybrid mode (button pressed in). I immediately switched it back to the regular mode.

Looking forward to enough power for the forseeable future! :)
