I just ordered a Seasonic Vortex 1200w for £249 delivered.

If you look online one price clearly head and shoulders above the rest (which are mostly sold out anyways). Seasonic confirmed there will be no plug issues using my current one, and also the 10 year warranty will be honored even in the UK.
Im happy you edited your post because I was like "wtf how did he get that PSU for £149?

Hah I paid the equivalent of £215 locally (non-EU) and was pleased with that!

How are you finding it noise wise?

Just been looking at the testing results on KitGuru and their testing seemed to say it was Platinum efficient rather than Gold in practice. They managed to take it upto to 1402w also.

I love the fact the GPU cable is 750mm as the standard 600mm is such a stretch in some cases.

Seems silent so far! Didn't know about the kitguru testing, I'll check it out thanks.

WOW I can only find a few PSU‘s that have the GPU 12 pin on the PSU side :(

I see the MSI PSU’s have it, But most other PSU‘s you got use two 8 pins for the 16 pin GPU connector

I’m using the Asus 1000W Gold Aura Edition with my 4090 — it has been flawless.

Used the Dark Power Pro 1200W with the bequiet 12VHPWR before but returned it due to an incessant fan buzzing sound at idle.

Not worth me starting another thread:

Any reason not to get this? I don't need more than 1000w ATX 3.0

Got down to ASUS Gold Aura 1000w, the above and the Vertex GX and PX.

It looked to me like the one with most comprehensive cabling was the Corsair, and also had 10 year warranty.

ASUS had 10 years, the GX only had 7 years, and I can't find the PX anywhere.

There is a dedicated thread about the Corsair ATX3.0 PSU's, do a search.

i got a bq dark power 13 850W @£249 this month.
Cables all fitted a very large tower case (Phanteks Enthoo Elite), but it was close call in some instances...some care required i would suggest if buying for a large case.
i liked the titanium rated atx 3.0 10 year warranty spec but didnt do any investigation beyond that.
seems fine so far.

Now im worried a bit, i am looking for a new power supply myself, i have always built using mid size cases, i have bought a Lian Li Lancool III Full Tower, just wondering, is this classed as a very large tower you think, is it possible some power supply cables might not fit, how do you know before you buy ? and if cables dont fit, what do you do then ? would the power supply maker supply extensions, thx

i think the tech specs of the power supply list the length of each modular cable.
If your case is bigger than Phanteks enthoo elite (750mm) then you may want to review cable sizes of other brands..if longer exist that might give piece of mind...if your case not as big as enthoo elite then i doubt you will have an issue.

dont think you want to go down the route of extensions even if they did exist, i always assumed modular cables are not generic/interchangable but im no expert.

I'm looking at the Seasonic VERTEX GX-1000 and I see you have the 1200w apart from the wattage difference I'm sure they are the same. Are you still happy with it, I'm building a new system starting October and I've always wanted to try seasoning. Reviews look positive.

If you don't see a post from me saying anything negative then it's all working fine.
