I'm holding off for the big May Memory BIOS update before I start looking at other kits. My current 32GB set is sat at 2400MHz solid as a rock, but won't go any higher no matter the voltage/timings. If the new BIOSes let it hit 2666/2933 I'll keep it; otherwise I might have to sacrifice some capacity for speed and grab a 16GB 3200MHz kit.

My R5 1600 and Gigabyte K7 arrived from OCUK today.
I was going to plug my set of 3200 FlareX's into it but from reading some posts here it sounds I should maybe send them back for refund and get something else? I was hoping for 3200Mhz without too much messing around. These also seem to have been removed from Gigabytes memory QVL

Got an 1800x on launch and 16Gb's of Corsair LPX @ 3000mhz. Sadly I never really paid that much attention to the techy aspects of RAM, so had no idea about about single/double stack ram. I bought the wrong type and paired with an ASUS B350 prime mobo that's an incredibly tedious pain in the backside to reset when bios tinkering goes wrong, I'm stuck at 2133mhz.

I would flog the sticks and buy something on the QVL that's running at a reasonable speed, but I need a new graphics card, a car :( and also really should pay off the whole Ryzen build.

Maybe the May memory update will save me buying new ram, so then I only have to ditch this nasty ASUS board.

Worth noting the Dark Pro 16GB 3200 kit is now out of stock in both colours.

The next batch might not use Samsung.

My kit had a manufacture week of 2016-49.

My team-group-dark-t-force-16gb-2x8gb-ddr4-pc4-24000c16-3000mhz-dual-channel-kit-grey is not Samsung b die and is in fact Spectek which is Micron. I set Xmp settings and it runs happily at 2933Mhz @ 1.35v. The last bios update for my board was 14/3/17 so am quite impressed with the memory which is not on the Qvl for Biostar. Not so impressed with Biostar with no bios update for a month though to be fair they have answered a couple of emails I sent.

Well I set up my Gigabyte x370 K7, R5 1600, and FlareX 3200 16GByte kit last night. Only change I did in BIOS other than optimised defaults was set XMP profile 1.
Did a fresh install Windows 10. Running at 3200 fine. Also used Ryzen Master to try a HEDT clock of 3.9Ghz and ran ok. Did a 5 minutes stress testing within CPU-Z and no crash. Now to do proper stress testing and manual overclock. Not sure I want to update BIOS from version F2 in case I lose 3200Mhz

Has anyone checked to see if the G.SKill Flare X 2400mhz memory is actually Samsung B-Die?

At under £130 that would be bargain as they would almost definitely overclock to 3200mhz if they are.

Just to confirm if anyone is looking to purchase.

I bought the TeamGroup Dark Pro 16gb (2x8Gb) 3200Mhz C16 kit from here and they are in fact Single rank and Samsung chips.

Currently running them @ XMP settings 3200Mhz 16-16-16-36-1T In a Asrock Taichi v 2.0 bios

This looks like a potentially useful site: http://rymem.vraith.com/
I'm currently thinking about the Corsair Dominator Platinum for my build, which appears to be listed as compatible with the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero that is currently my motherboard of choice.

Its saying the 3200 Dom Plat will work for my Gigabyte 5 x370 as well. I'll probably grab a set as they are nice looking ram.

They'll do 14-14-14-34 @1.35v if you want.

Hi All,

I have a confession.. it was me who bought the last of the TeamGroup Dark Pro 16gb (2x8Gb) 3200Mhz. Checked it out on Thaiphoon and can confirm mine too was samsung, same as Lord ZED's and is happy at 3200MHz. I have it in a Asrock X370 Gaming K4 with the [email protected].. Just wanted to say thanks to all in the thread.

Spoke too soon. Got the AGESA bios update and then did the Win10Pro64bit Creators 'Update' and now when gaming I get a blue screen Kernal 41 63 error. Dropped the memory to 2666Mhz and no more blue screens, put the memory back to 2933Mhz and is ok surfing and light stuff but game and blue screen. So now running 2666Mhz and gaming quite happily 4K in Far Cry4.
