What RAM are you getting/bought for Ryzen

64gb HyperX 3000mhz.

Won't run a above 2400mhz yet. Well, hopefully yet. I'm still hopeful they will improve support.

Would love to run them at 2933mhz, but have a feeling best I may ever get out of them is 2666mhz.

Still, at least they appear stable at 2400mhz.

And for £330, I can't complain.

It's nice to be able to chuck 16gb at a vm :D

Like I said before G.Skill 3200 C16 isn't single rank b die. It even says on the MSI QVL.

Need the C14 stuff at 3200.

Otherwise you need the following

http://www.anandtech.com/show/10986/gskill-announces-trident-z-ddr4-dimms-for-kaby-lake-cpus

Looking at close to £200 and upwards for anything guaranteed though.

Thats why im on lookout. All kits i had so far ware suypposed to be single rank samsung b. According to-3-4 reviews before ordering and what ?? **** all....

My budget is around 150 quid cant see me paying 200 quid for 16gb srsly :(

This is correct, this is from my 3200C16 kit:

MANUFACTURING DESCRIPTION

Module Manufacturer: G.Skill
Module Part Number: F4-3200C16-8GTZKW
DRAM Manufacturer: Hynix
DRAM Components: H5AN8G8NMFR-TFC
DRAM Die Revision / Lithography Resolution: M / 25 nm

The other G.Skill 3200C16 kit I tested was Hynix AFR

I know they instant booted with xmp profile at 3200.

When i got some time i will see what i can get out of them at 1.375 that i run DDR4 as my daily volts.

yes I do, i need hearing aids too apparently. my point is that you decided to buy this memory for a particular reason, hopefully because its guaranteed Samsung. I don't want to spend 150 on ram only to find its not because its a some are some aren't type situation

MAte this is 4th kit i had. I had Corsair Gskill Patriot all not working with Ryzen. Lost 25 pounds on shipping them back for refund. Someone had to bite it and try to find something that is not Gskill sadly it was me with my crappy 15k a year wage :/

as stated before u want 100% sure ram ? Buy Flair X 3200 for 195

I'm gonna try them out as well. I noticed someone else reviewed it as working with Ryzen as well.

I wonder if they are using the same stuff across the entire range.

According to the Reddit post below, the new G-Skill memory aimed at Ryzen uses a 120MHz base clock, whereas the Trident Z uses a 100MHz base clock. If Ryzen does have an issue with high ram speed multipliers, then the Flare X should be able to get 20% higher speeds than equivalent 100MHz base speed memory.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/618or2/gskill_flarex_ddr4_for_ryzen_available/dfcy1qf/

Are there other 120MHz base speed, DDR4, single rank, Samsung b-die modules? Wow, now that is a specific requirement. :)

Also, is memory base speed clock something that can be changed manually on a motherboard (I don't have my Ryzen build yet)?

That's ********. The memory won't be forcing a base clock change.

You can see in the screenshot the CPU is affected by the bclk change.

Ignoring the screenshot, if the memory is somehow applying a multiplier, then the motherboard wouldn't see it. Since there are youtube videos of this RAM being used for manual clocking, that is again wrong.

If I'm bothered ill post some screenshots. With new 081 beta bios i got this kit running 16/16/16/36@3472MHZ 1.4vcore 118.4 bclk

i found screenshot i posted at OCN. My daily setting i tried 118.6 but no go. Same as Cl15 boots but not stable. Cant complain tho good kit this is !!!

Before i left for worjk i started HCI MemTest 15x1024+1xall available. I think if no error for 9 hours i can call it good :) Played WoW as You see for 5 hours no problems last night so :p
