WHAT THE HELL PAYPAL!?

lol jaybee.

Omaeka stop posting nonsense and just go solve the problem with Nationwide, they are there to help as you are a customer.

Or the only other option is for you to post all your nationwide login details and the physical card reader you get to some kind person and they will help you..........

No point doing that until 6PM today, as calls are free on weekends and I don't feel like spending £1 a minute to figure out where £3 has gone, its not worth it, wouldn't you agree?

Use their abroad number. You'll notice that +44 is a UK code and its an 01 number i.e. local number.

Actual LOL

Get out of the house, get to your local branch and get the info you need.

While you are there activate your online banking, or better still ask them to close your accounts as clearly you cant handle your own money very well.

I just went to my local, didn't realize I could even get statements until I am actually due one. I'm new as hell to all this, I usually just buy retail and otherwise don't need to worry too much about money as everything I've handled was with cash, or paid a friend to use theirs.

My online banking is activated quite obviously, or was that just a setup for your pathetic punchline? Bravo.

Don't hold back on the end to this story now Om, what did your local nationwide tell you you brought for £3?

I didn't ask, I popped in when I went town and deposited some cash, If I actually knew I could then I would have asked and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

right for all the people wondering how much paypal "charge" for first time using it

11 Jun 2008 Refund From PayPal Completed £1.00 £0.00 £1.00 GBP

;)

highly unlikely it would've gone up in "price"

my bet is you bought something somewhere and completly forgot about it

Just checked my statement and paypal paid me 24p and 4p (in 2006) for verification and left the money in my account.

Seems they do change what they do over time.

It's not paypals registration, they credit your account not debit it. Without sounding patronising it does just sound like another purchase has been made, I can't remember if paypal works like Apple iStore where they build up an invoice and charge you the lot in one.

As many people have said it's best to call the bank and enquire what the amount is but really and truthfully I would go online and check out the statement... I can't see the bank getting their knickers in a twist over £3.

I predict that Omaeka will find out that he's bought a sandwich or drink or something and forgotten, and then either...

a. Won't post in this thread again, or...
b. Claim ignorance and say that he or the bank never found out what the cost was.

I'm going with (a), since (b) wouldn't made sense considering how much of a fuss he's made about it.

Has the OP even checked their bank statement? If paypal shows up on it as the correct amount then it's something else you've been charged for and not from paypal.

Haha those Boots meal deals ALWAYS catch me out ;)

Are you for real or is this just one big troll?

I've set my debit up properly recently for the simple fact I can't keep asking friends & family to use their cards when I want to buy stuff online. Never needed a bank statement for any specific reason other than I.D in the past, so no, I'm not an expert at this, complete opposite actually.

Anyway...

FEAR 3 5.20 + Rune Classic £5.59 + Torlight 2 14.99 + Arma II 24.99 = £50.77 (Steam)

Humble Bundle = Total: $8.79 USD
From amount: £5.84 GBP
To amount: $8.79 USD
Exchange rate: 1 GBP = 1.50513 USD

£50.77 + £5.84 = £56.61

Balance yesterday: £171.64 Available balance: £112.03

£171.64 - £56.56 = £115.03

I humbly swear on both my testes that I haven't bought a single other thing with my card other than what is stated above. Gonna be interesting reading my statement...

I made this topic out of shock hoping one or two people; preferably guys like H, could answer and I could be done with it, I hardly expected every man and his dog to give their two cents. Then again this is a forum huh, should have expected some know it all life guru's to come and try and look like they got da big smurtz in der hed-brenz, off of my back. I accept I'm ignorant to all of this, really don't understand what the big problem is, I'm pretty sure none of you would speak to somebody you didn't know face to face in such a manner in the real world.

Welcome to the internet. And to banking, too, apparently.

Seriously though, I still don't understand why on earth you can't call your bank or walk in for free and get them to confirm what money has been taken and where it's gone to. All this time going back and forth here on the forum you could have found out and been done with it in 5 mins. Bit of common sense required here mate!

Without knowing what your bank accounts like it could be anything other than that... have you got concrete evidence to say it's Paypal?
